"Great Base for mom-daughter trip!"
I stayed here in a double-twin-bed room with my teen for a mother and
soon-to-be-high-school-graduate-daughter spring break trip the week of March 22-29. Great location, perfectly safe few minute walk to Earl's Court tube station. We were delighted with the friendly desk staff that was helpful and always double-checked with a manager when puzzled by any question we posed. There was a power outage that affected a several block area including Base2Stay one evening; it lasted for several hours, and to kill some time, my daughter and I went out for a long dinner. The management could not offer us any flashlights for our room, which surprised me; however, they were very polite and gave us a small credit towards that night's charge for our inconvenience. The room was a bit small but arranged well for two people; we had to stack our suitcases, but we had plenty of hanging space. The decor is clean and simple, a relief for those sick
of overdone florals. The little microwave/sink/fridge area was handy for us to have our breakfast in-room everyday. (Several grocery stores are around the area.) The bathroom was a highlight--clean, roomy and equipped with a great power shower and a heated towel rack.
Adequate shelf space for our toiletries as well. A requested early morning wake-up call came cheerily on time for us to catch a channel-tunnel train for our day trip to Paris. (Lots of fun!) I agree with a previous review that mentioned housekeeping chatter outside the room every morning, as we had the same problem; and although we were in a non-smoking room, which was initially fresh smelling, the housekeeping "changing room" next to ours apparently allowed smoking, which then seeped into our room. This is an issue the management should address for the non-smoking floors. The lighting was good, both recessed in ceiling and bedside. The free in-room internet via the flat screen tv was convenient for emailing and some quick instant messaging with our at-home folks. We enjoyed our stay here, and would most definitely recommend Base2Stay!! (And London, of course...we miss it already!)

"Quality hotel & value for money"
I stayed at the Base2Stay for one night last month having booked it directly with them online for £85 per night for a single room.
The room I was allocated was certainly compact, however the standard of decor and facilities was of a very high standard. My room had a single bed with a flatscreen TV overhead. It was such a change to have access to the internet for free, without a ridiculous charge being made!
I was impressed with the mini kitchen facilities within the room that were nicely hidden away. As the hotel was located very close to a Marks & Spencer you could pick up meals and then cook them in the microwave provided whilst doing your work. The bathroom was of a good size with a powerful shower. I can't say that i'd enjoy staying there for weeks on end, but for a one night stay such as mine I would thoroughly recommend it to others.

"Exceeded our Expectations"
We spent 2 nights here after disembarking from a transatlantic cruise. The pictures and descriptions offered on line are all accurate. The staff was friendly, extremely helpful and the rooms were ready. I liked the free flat-screen computer in the room. There were several grocery stores and fast food (pizza and a Subway) in the neighborhood within a 5 minute walk which made it so convenient. I would definitely stay here again.
