"Perfect Weekend(,)"
My partner and I stayed at the Basingstoke Country Hotel on the 8th, 9th & 10th of October. We booked the offer that they had advertised in the newspaper for two night stay, Double Room, Double Bed, Breakfast Included, 3 course meal on the first night for £119.
Nice room, very clean, lots of towels, bathroom a bit small but that was fine. Staff were friendly and attentive. A slight disappointment was that they did say there was no room for us in the restaurant to have our meal, and asked if we would mind having it in the lounge - we didnt mind. However, when we arrived downstairs for our meal they said that they had found room in the restaurant for us, which was great, a nice surprise. Three course meal was divine!
Breakfast was great, a good start to set us up for the day. Didnt use the Gym, but it looked adequate. Pool, Jacuzzi, Steam Room & Sauna were REALLY good, very quiet on a Sunday, we were the only ones in there at one point.
Easy to find, not far at all from a nice little town called Hook, where for the second night we had a meal at The Raven, so there are plenty of other nice places to eat in the area.
Overall a brilliant stay!
I would recomend this hotel.

"Cracking Weekend"
Myself and my partner stayed at the hotel on the 10/11 June as we were visting friends in basingstoke. From the time we checked in to the time we checked out we received some of the best hospitality I have ever received in the Uk. The room was of a good size and was extremley clean. The pool and leisure club was great, all the staff were very accommodating and even did a gym program for my partner. The pool is of a good size and the tempeture was great. After having a lazy day in and around the pool we were really looking forward to our evening meal. It certainly didnt disappoint, the staff were extremley attentive and very friendly and the food was excellent. After talking at length to one of the male waiters I understand that the hotel had just recently appoint a new head chef, what a signing ! Saturday was much the same excellent in all area's and the evening meal probably was even better than the first. I would certainly recomend this hotel and will be. The hotel is a credit to the Paramount group and we will certainly be returning soon !!
