"Great Hotel Stay!!!!"
I arrived at the Bay Point Marriott on Friday September 1, 2006 around 2pm. When I arrived at the front desk, they notified me that check in was not until 4pm and that my Villa was not ready. The desk clerk took my number, and told me that she would call as soon as my Villa came available.
I used those two hours to drive down the strip and hit the beach, but not able to really enjoy it because, I didn't have on beach attire.
At approx. 4pm, the front desk clerk called me to tell me that my Villa was now ready. So we get in the car and drive back to the hotel to get the key. When we walked into our 1BDRM Villa, I thought it was beautifully decorated. While unpacking I didn't notice how hot is was in there, and I guess I had chalked it up to my being warm from unpacking the car and all the moving around I was doing. Well after unpacking a weeks worth of stuff for two people, I realized that the A/C was not working.
I called the concierge, and he said he would immediately send a maintenance man, who arrived within 15 minutes. They utimately ended up moving my husband and I into another Villa which had working A/C.
That is my only complaint about the Bay Point Marriott, and I am pleased at the way in which they handled the situation. In order to compensate us for having to move to a completely different building, the Concierge offered us two free Pay Per View movies.
When we needed directions or any assistance, the concierge was there to help us. They had movie night at the pool for people with children, it was really nice.
My husband and I also ate at the Kingfish Restaurant during our stay. The Sushi was absolutely to die for!!! As well as the Mojo Chicken. And yes the prices were higher than Applebee's but we both felt it was well worth it. Great Service. The chef even came out to talk with us, and asked how we liked our dinner.
I read other people's review of this hotel, and I'm glad that I didn't take the negative reviews to heart. Yes. There is construction going on, but I never heard any of the work. It was like it wasn't even going on.
And you would think that during a Holiday weekend that they wouldn't have been able to provide superior service, but they did. They surpassed my expectations.

"Great experience at Bay Point Marriott"
Our family had wonderful experience at the Bay Point Marriott Resort. I had a meeting and my family came along to enjoy the Florida sunshine. The meeting facilities are beautiful, spacious, and all on one level. My husband and children enjoyed the swimming pools and the private beach. We were there for 4 days and never left the property! We stayed in the restaurants on the resort. On my last day, my husband played golf on the Nicklaus course, located at the resort, while I took the girls to get manicures in the Spa at Bay POint. The Bay Point Marriott is truly a great place for family or to hold a meeting. I highly recommend it.

Our family had wonderful experience at the Bay Point Marriott Resort. I had a meeting and my family came along to enjoy the Florida sunshine. The meeting facilities are beautiful, spacious, and all on one level. My husband and children enjoyed the swimming pools and the private beach. We were there for 4 days and never left the property!
