I recently stayed at the hotel. It was close to Grand Place etc but at the price I was not happy. I had booked a double room but when we were checked into our room it was a twin room we were given. I rang reception to ask for a double room, the receptionist told me that because we arrived late there was no double rooms left even though it was booked at least 3 weeks in advance! We were given a double room on the second night, but the room was smaller, very hot, we had no shower!!!! Just a shower head on the bath. We didn't like the breakfast...we had to eat out everday. The bar and the restaurant closed at 9:30pm each evening, we couldn't even relax in the hotel. Also there was no room service available after this time. The receptionist's were not at all helpful..we asked them on numerous occasions if there was anything happening in the locality but all answered that they didn't know! On the day were leaving the taxi driver told about a festival that was going on in Brussels among other things! We will not stay at this hotel again, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

nice hotel with good location
A group of friends stayed in Bedford Hotel for two nights during our Euro trip. Our main purpose was to explore the city and this hotel was a perfect base for it. Rooms were clean, but not decorated in a stylish way. No problem. The breakfast was satisfying. The front desk was quite friendly and gave us advice where to go for eating or shopping.

"Good Central Base"
Have to say, we were a bit worried on seeing some of the reviews. We had never been to Brussels and won a competition with BA and they chose the hotel. For that reason, I cannot comment on the value. However, hotel is very easy to get to -direct train from Airport into Gare De Midi and then 10 minute walk in straight line. Lobby is beautiful in hotel and room was fine. I do think that lack of air conditioning in summer months would be a problem but not the case in February. Location is excellent - Gare De Midi is right as you come out of the hotel but everything else is to the left - Grand Place etc. Excellent shopping on Rue Neuve - Zara, Mango etc. Really enjoyed Brussels, a lovely city.

"nice hotel"
A group of us stayed in the Bedford for three nights at the end of March. it worked out at €33 per person per night, which everyone thought was excellent! and breakfast was included. The rooms were hot and i'd assume in the summer they would be too hot. i had a room facing the street and you could hear traffic, but it calmed down at night. The hotel was in the prefect location,cheap and very clean. I would definitely reccommend this hotel. It is practally beside the Grand Place and only a few mins walk from the shopping district. It is also close to the underground, if you want to take a trip to Mini Europe.
