This is a great hotel that is proud to welcome back many repeat guests.

LOCATION

Hotel Bellagio is situated directly in Old Town, within short walking distance of numerous tourist attractions. The Old Town Square is approximately 400 metres (0,25 mile) south of Hotel Bellagio while the Wenceslas Square is 800 metres (0,5 mile) away. To the north are the Vltava River and Svatopluk Cech Bridge, the only Art Nouveau style bridge in Prague. After passing through the bridge, you can see a huge functional metronome which was erected in 1991 and situated in Letna Park.

The opposite direction leads you to the Old Town Square which is sorrounded by magnificent structures such as the Old Town Hall and Tower, the St. Nicholas Church and the Church of Our Lady in front of Tyn where you will see the oldest pipe organ in Prague. In the middle of the square stands a statue of Jan Hus who was a religious reformer lived in 14th and 15th centuries. The Astronomical Clock, consisting of an astronomical dial, a clockwork with moving figures and a calendar dial, is mounted on the southern wall of the Old Town Hall.

Some other remarkable sights that Old Town features are the Old New Synagogue, the High Synagogue, the Jewish Town Hall, the Old Jewish Cemetery and the Maisel Synagogue. It is approximately a 15-minute stroll from here to Lesser Town, the Prague Castle and the St. Vitus Cathedral by passing through the Charles Bridge.

The nearest public transport link is Pravnicka Fakulta tram station, approximately 350 metres (0,2 mile) to Hotel Bellagio. To reach the hotel from Prague Ruzyne Airport, take the Airport Express (AE) to Dejvicka, transfer to metro line A to Staromestska and finally get on tram no. 17 to Pravnicka Fakulta.

Stayed for 3 nights in June 2007. Excellent hotel offering everything you need. Tea and coffee making facilities are available in the rooms along with a minibar. Bedrooms are very clean and maid service with fresh towels every day. bathroom huge! Breakfasts are very good, offering full english along with continental. The staff are very friendly and sent a taxi to pick us up from the airport when we landed costing around 11 pounds. Definitely will stay there again when I return to Prague which I plan to do in the near future.

"Hotel brief plus other tips on prague"
Great location with friendly staff. Very small and personal within easy walk of the old town square. Hotel clean and located on a quiet street. This is not a five star type establishment so manage your expectations Great meal at Barock restaurant, but arrive early as we noted the portions get smaller as the evening progresses. Don't bother with any of the commercial walking tours, overpriced and less info than guidebooks. If going to castle and you hire an audio guide they hold credit cards as deposits, not good, take an library card or other insignicant ID to leave instead. For great value lunch try the large cafe opposite the National Theatre. Prague is a great place enjoy stay

"Good hotel - close to main tourist areas"
Booked the hotel through a deal advertised on Ebay after reading previous reviews on Tripadvisor. Taxi booked via hotel - arrived promptly. Very pleased with hotel. Room was small but very clean and had recently been refurbished - great bathroom with a big walk-in shower. Only drawbacks were lack of air conditioning - very warm whilst we were there - which meant we had the windows wide open so noise was a bit of a problem Hotel is in a great location, minutes from the Jewish quarter and Old Square. Found the Kolkovna restaurant (recommended by others on Tripadvisor) which was great and served authentic Czech cuisine as well as a large range of international dishes. Staff friendly and portions very large! Czechs all ate there which was a good sign - only problem is that you might have to book as it is very popular. A word of warning - if you sit outside in some restaurants (this happened to us in Old Square) then you can pay up to 70% more than if you sit inside! If you go the side streets, you can find great deals on food and drink without paying high prices. Saying that, prices of most things here are very reasonable. Loved Prague - would recommend a walking tour - loads to choose from-to get your bearings and get a good understanding of what you are looking at. Go there and enjoy the laid back atmosphere, the history and culture - and of course the food!!

"Great Hotel"
A group of six (three couples) of us have just returned , today ,after spending four days in Prague , The hotel is positioned ideally for exploring the city , its in a slightly quieter part of town , but no more than five to ten minutes walk from the main streets and square, close by the river . The staff are very curtious and attentive , the rooms are very clean and offer all the usual features one would expect from a better than average city hotel. As mentioned in previous reviews , it gets warm...and the lack of air con would pose a problem mid summer especially in the breakfast room , but hey ho , if thats the only down side , then its no big deal . Chat to the staff , they know the area and are happy to advise ...Chris who works there is English , he will give you all the info you may need....he sings alot ! Food and drink are a-plenty to suit every budget, the bars , cafes, and other eateries cater for all budgets...be careful not to get stung when changing money , avoid all the options apart from the banks! especially guys on the street , the currency changed in 1993 but the notes look similar...beware! the local transport is spot on ,trams. underground ..all the usual...but avoid taxis , unless the hotel book it for you...i would recomend on the first day , that the eco express....a crappy little train thingy you catch from the square for 250 crowns (about six pounds) the tour last an hour , but takes you around some of the area , and up past the castle ..its a good tester for where you may want to visit later Prague was much much better than i imagined it would be...its very clean , friendly , and safe. we will definately go again , and will probably stay at the Bellagio!

"Perfect location!"
Excellent hotel, our second time staying here was in December 2006. As we were getting married in Prague we wanted a hotel that would suit our party of 30. The Bellagio has beautiful rooms, most have either a very large bath or shower and are luxuriously decorated. We booked ourselves the suite as we were staying a full week, it was gorgeous. We had a balcony (with a telescope) a sitting room, large bedroom and a large bathroom with a corner bath which was just perfect. The staff are lovely and did a lot to help us out during the week. The breakfast has a good selection and the room it is served in is lovely. We had one problem in that one of our guests had booked a room for the night prior to when she arrived so that she could use the room in the morning to have a shower and get ready but when she arrived the room had been sold on. I thought that was bad form and the money should have been refunded although it wasn't, other than that it was a wonderful stay. The location is excellent - 5 minutes to the Old Town Square.

"Great recommendation"
Congratulations Tripadvisor. after reading the reviews on few hotels in Prague, I picked Bellagio, and I have to say that it was pleasantly surpricing to spend a weekend there. Everything was like others said it would be, so I was very satisfied with everything. I was able to use their WI-FI network in my room, and I made a great use of their new beautiful lounge in the back of the hotel, where they have PC's for public use and a good library. I can recommend this hotel to all people going on a business trip to Prague.

"What a Fantastic Hotel!!"
My husband and I have just returned from a five day break to Prague, staying at the Bellagio Hotel and what a fantastic time we have had!!! The trip was initially problematic with the airline losing our baggage and it arriving several hours later on a separate flight. Secondly we arrived in Prague to find that we had been moved from our original hotel and had been booked into the Bellagio, which initially rang alarm bells. On arrival at the Bellagio Hotel, however, we were very pleased. The hotel is small and situated very close to the river and within easy walking distance of the Old Town Square. We had initially booked a hotel in Wenceslas Square and on visiting this area of Prague later we were very glad that we had been moved. The staff at the hotel were courteous, friendly and extremely helpful, especially in negotiations with the airport in trying to locate and collect our luggage. The hotel is decorated in very pretty colours - terracota, yellow etc. and is very homely. It is also very warm when you come in from the cold Prague weather with good heating in the hotel and a lovely big radiator in the bathroom to warm / dry the towels. The power shower was huge and very welcoming indeed after a day's walking around the city. There is a small bar in the lobby and a small restaurant in the basement which is beautiful. We didn't have dinner at the hotel but enjoyed a varied breakfast of either buffet style traditional cooked english breakfast or cold continental (meats, cheeses, salads etc). Prague was wonderful and is a fantastic place to visit over the Christmas period. We were there for New Year and for my husband's 40th birthday and so the trip was very special. On my husband's birthday there was a delivery to our room of a birthday card and a box of chocolates - a very nice touch. We would definitely return to Prague and will definitely recommend this hotel to any friends and family planning a trip to Prague. We hope to return to Prague in the future and will try and stay in the same hotel.
