Our double room was quite spacious and clean, with very high ceiling, which gives a feeling of even much more space. Hotel's location was great, there was a tramstop nearby. But there was no airconditioning which didn't affect us since it wasn't too hot while we were staying (may). Our stay was a pleasant one and we would stay here again.

Everything was fine
I spent my three nights in the Bellevue Hotel and it was an experience beyond my expectations after reading bad reviews. The room was spacious and clean. Good food and friendly staff. Of course convenient location is an advantage. There was not air conditioning in my room, so it can be problem in summer months.

Could be better
Strange smell on the lobby. The shower was spreading watter everywhere but not on you. Two days with drilling mashine noises. The staff it's polite but distant. The breakfast was good. The price it's good too. The place is near (100m) of the D tram station (quick access to the center).

"I don't understand why others didn't like it..."
The hotel was very nice and clean. The staff was very helpful and polite. We stayed in a simple double room which was also nice and the beds were very comfortable. It was really cold outside but inside we could turn the heat as high up or down as we wanted, so we weren't cold. Breakfast was good and there was plenty to eat. Downtown is a 15 ride with the trolly which runs every 5 minutes. We had a lovely 4 night stay.

Great value and ideally situated just outside the city center
Our stay at Bellevue Hotel in Vienna was very pleasant. While the accommodation is on the expensive side, the hotel standard and the breakfast buffet is excellent and restaurant meals are inexpensive and good value. The hotel is situated right next to one of the main train stations in Vienna, which probably isn't the safest place in town, but we had no problems at night. The tram passes the hotel on its way to the major palaces in the city and the subway is only a short walk away. The vineyards to the north of the city are only a 30 minute bus drive away from the hotel.
