"Pleasantly surprised!" Having read other reviews on this page I was slightly worried. But the hotel was brilliant! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly (especially when we spoke French to them - if you can do this they are great!). It was a bit dirty, the window was hard to open, and some things were broken or cracked, but the staff rectified all problems swiftly. You need to ask for a tray of tea, coffee, sugar and a kettle,(free) and you need to ask for a safe key (free) but again, these are provided willingly. The glass elevator and domed seating area were amazing. The location was superb - within walking distance of Louvre, metro stations, Galaries Lafayette, excellent restaurants, the Folies Bergere, and Montmartre. The breakfast (included in our package) was a buffet style: tea/coffe/chocolate, then choice of ham, cheese, egg, jam, croissant, baguette, pain-au-choc, toast, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, compote!!!!! Excellent value. We would definitely stay there again.
