"Wonderful hotel"
If you are looking for somewhere to stay in prague, look no further, this hotel was wonderful right from the beginning. The location of the hotel is super, trams and metro just around the corner, though we never needed to use them. Shops and supermarket within a few minutes walk. Pretty much beside the river. About ten minutes walk to Wencelas square.
The breakfast was tremendous, everything you could have asked for. Scrambled egg, bacon& sausage hot breakfast, as well as fresh fruit salad, variety of cereals, all kinds of bread you could think of, good variety of ham and cheese as well. We hardly needed lunch somedays at all, breakfast was so filling. The waitors were excellent, generally keeping most things topped up. Breakfast is from 6-11 which was great, no need to rush to get up in the morning.
Staff at the reception could not have been nicer, with exceptionnaly good english. They booked tours for us and the cedaz minibus back to the airport ,even though they have their own taxi service (more expensive than the 480K charged by the cedaz). When our tour bus didn't arrive at the agreed time, the receptionist had already telephoned the company before we even needed to ask.
Although the rooms weren't massive, they were a good size, and the bathroom had plenty of amenities. Everything was exceptionally clean. Our only complaint would be the television, which was a little erractic, sometimes not giving any channels, other times providing all 10 channels, although it was lovely to have a complete break from the television.
Would also recommend 'Pizzeria Donna' for dinner, five minutes walk from hotel, off charles square. We had a two course meal for two people for no more than £10 (about 430k), brilliant food, brilliant service. You will not be stuck for restaurants.
Would definately stay there again without hesitation, and would thouroughly recommend it.

"Clean and comfortable"
The Hotel Moran is an old hotel that has been very well renovated. The room was good and the bathroom bigger than many in Europe. It was in a very good location and within walking distance of everything. The breakfast was excellent and the staff in the restaurant were lovely. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a clean and comfortable hotel.

"Good Location"
The Moran is a good hotel in an ideal location. The staff were really helpful and friendly, the room was a good size, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and the fresh fresh fruit salad was just that! If you want to walk, the old town is about 20 minutes along the riverside and Wenceslas Square about the same if you go up through Charles Square. Metro and tram very handy - although it is quite difficult to find out which trams go from where. For its type I would say it is particularly good and would go back.

"Excellent"
Lovely hotel! Our room was small, but had all the facilities we needed. Restaurant in the hotel was lovely with a nice bar area where breakfast was served (hot and cold buffet). Staff are very helpful and not intrusive.
Good location, in a quiet area, about 10/15 mins walk into the centre although trams nearby. Would recommend this hotel without any hesitation |
