The Best Western Continental Hotel is situated in the centre of Como close to the shopping district of the town. It is conveniently located close to all types of public transport. The train station is a mere five-minute walk away and the public buses stop almost directly outside the hotel. The lobby is modern in design, leading directly into a lounge and a separate seating area.
All the rooms have modern furniture and the walls are painted in pastel shades. They look very pleasant and are equipped with all the modern comforts. The restaurant is a spacious area, modernly equipped and serves international as well as local cuisines. |

Lake Como is considered one of the most beautiful and certainly the most romantic of the world, and not only for its matchless scenary but also for its picturesque villages many of which were founded in the Middle Ages and still preserve incomparable artistic treasures. The hotel is not far from the lake, walking distance from the railway Station FFSS. Easy access from all directions.

"Very nice hotel. Good location."
My wife and I spent three nights here and everything was excellent. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the center of town and its gorgeous waterfront. Our room was large, even with a king-size bed, was very clean and very quiet. Our bed was excellent. TV stations included CNN in English. Our bath area was an adequate size for both of us, with plenty of towels, soap and other amenities. All of the staff were extremely pleasant, very helpful. and spoke very good English.
Continental breakfast was included in our room rate and was excellent, with cereals, juices, fruit, a variety of breads and jams, cheeses and meats. The breakfast area was very inviting and pleasant, and service was excellent. The hotel also has a dining room and we had dinner there one night. They have a wonderful chef and service was excellent.
There is an indoor parking area below the hotel, but it is small and was full each night we were there. However, there is a pay public parking area directly in front of the hotel. And the parking machine allows payment for the entire day. It is well lit and we were very comfortable using this.
The Best Western web site is very accurate in its description of the hotel. The web site lists "coffee/tea maker" as a room amenity but we did not have one in our room. When we asked at the front desk, one was sent to our room immediately. We found this same experience at most other hotels on our trip, and were told this is done to reduce their disappearance when guests check out.
Some recent Trip Advisor writers commented about the rooms being very small. From room diagrams posted in the hotel, some rooms definitely are smaller than others, and ours was a standard size, not one of the small ones.
We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel and very definitely would stay here again.
