The Best Western Glasgow Pond Hotel is ideally situated less than two miles from Glasgow's bustling City Centre in the fashionable and stylish West End. Situated on Great Western Road you are only a short drive, bus or taxi ride from fantastic shopping and great theatres. The hotels location is ideal for visiting Kelvingrove Art Galleries, Botanical Gardens and the University Of Glasgow. A short walk from the hotel takes you to the pavement cafes, pubs and restaurants of Byres Road and Ashton Lane. The huge variety of venues on offer, make for a fantastic night out. "nice hotel"
I stayed at this Hotel in October 2005 and found it to be good quality. It is not a brand new 5* and I knew that. The lobby area and bar were cosy with character and I must say that the food was excellent at breakfast and dinner. The bedroom was on the 4th floor overlooking the pond and was nice and spacious allowing space for me to work, and it was clean. I travel a lot and have seen some things in my time, but I found this Hotel value for money paid in all respects. There is a leisure club which I did not get time to use and ample car parking, something you dont find any more in the large city bed factory hotels. This hotel is a winner with its character, charm and friendly staff. & great food.
