"Great Place with history"
We (2 couples) stayed 3 nights at the Tigra and all agree it was terrific. The rooms were large, well appointed, modern, spotless, etc. The buffet breakfast was among the best we have ever had in a hotel. Terrific variety and quality. Their hot chocolate was better than that in the famous cafes. Service and desk staff were attentive. Hotel is central and an easy walk to everything within the ring. The best part is the history of the place. The Tigra is in the same two buildings where Leopold and young Wolfgang Mozart stayed when he was introduced to Vienna. The palace where he gave his first concert in Vienna is just around the corner. Mozart also stayed at that address as an adult. Imagine! We paid a low season rate of 124 euros/room-an excellent value.

"Excellent location, comfortable room"
We spent 3 nights at the Tigra in mid-July. It's located on Tiefer Graben, which is 10 minutes' walk from St Stephen's cathedral and about the same from the Town Hall. We had stayed here 4 years ago and chose it again for its location.
We were a group of 3 (2 parents + teenage daughter) and had booked a junior suite. This comprised 2 linked rooms, separated by a curtain, a double bed in one with a sofa bed in the lounge area. There was plenty of space in the lounge area, not quite as much in the bedroom. Air-con worked OK, bathroom a good size.
Breakfast was inclusive and was the usual spread of cold meats, cheese, cereals, fresh bread etc. There was a hot serving dish of scrambled eggs & bacon but we didnt try that.
Staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. The hotel makes much of its association with Mozart but dont be misled: the building he once lived in is long gone and the Tigra is a modern, efficient hotel. We would use it again when visiting Vienna.

"Loved this Hotel"
The location of this hotel is fantastic, the rooms are clean and the breakfast is plenty.
I would go back to this place if I were to go back to Vienna.
I booked it directly with Best Western and you get better rates..
