"Perfect!"
We really enjoyed our stay at the Best Western "La Marina" in St. Raphael. Mainly because of its close proximity to the boats and the sea. I would suggest that you request or book a room with a water view. The small restaurants located along the waterfront are superb and at night they light up like a christmas tree. The hotel serves a terrific breakfast, and the staff were all very helpful. This hotel is perfect if you have your own car as the walk to town is a bit longer than it looks. All in all a great hotel tucked away from the general run of the mill tourist. We highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again.

"Really well renovated hotel!"
I just came back from my Easter holiday. My concern often is the fact when and how the hotel has been renovated. Usually nice looking hotels have rooms which are in really bad shape. BW La Marina and especially my room was excellent. The room had a marine style decoration, colours and materials in the bathroom were stylish and of high quality. Location is good if you travel by car, around 1.5km walk from the town centre. I took a marina view room which was 10€ more expensive than pool view rooms. I think both are a good choice - but don't ever take the street side room, it could be noisy. The room size is slightly better than typical French standard, however the balcony overlooking the marina was very nice. I did not have any trouble with parking, it was free of charge in April. Swimming pool was good and clean, around 18 celcius. Pool area was well protected from the cold wind which made it feel like it was July. I visited the breakfast room but turned away as it did not look very good. I highly recommend this hotel because the room quality is at the moment better than in many four star hotels in France, thanks to excellent renovation. Compare prices, I found a good rate directly from the BW chain.

"Fabulous break in St Raphael"
We choose to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday in the South of France as we had been there many times before including our honeymoon 17 years ago and we are so pleased we picked La Marina as our hotel. It was clean, the staff were very efficient and the pool was more than adequate for the number of rooms. Never more than a dozen people in the pool at any one time very often fewer. The quietest air-conditioning we have known and very much needed. 34 degrees each day. Would thoroughly recommend La Marine Restaurant in the Marina (5 minutes walk). We had a very special birthday meal where Sebastian and his sister went to so much effort so it would be a meal to remember. They treated us like royalty. The other diners were curious of our special treatment!!! There are many places to eat within such close proximatity we never had to venture into St Raphael for dinner (a flat but tiresome walk). The hotel was easy to find and parking directly outside only cost 5 Euros for 10 hours. Free between 19.00-9.00. Will definitely go back.
