We enjoyed the breakfast!
Fantastic breakfast, wonderful quiet location, rooms satisfactory but bathroon very small. We booked for 3 nights but after the first day out exploring the city, our room key wouldn't work. Reception told us that we had only booked for ONE night and we began to panic as we handed over the hotel voucher on arrival. Eventually, without an apology, their mistake was rectified. TIP- take a second copy of the hotel voucher with you in case of possible cock up!

great deal
Me and my girlfriend stayed here for two nights and had a room on the top floor. We liked that our room had a high ceiling and the overall cleanliness of the room and bathroom was perfect. The hotel is not a cheap one but Oslo is insanely expensive already, so I guess that it somehow balances out. We really liked the hotel and would like to stay there again one day.

Nothing to complain...
I've stayed in Best Western Hotel West two nights in November 2007 and first thing to comment about is its good price such an expensive city like Oslo. Only the fabulous breakfast they serve is enough to get what you paid. Beyond those, the rooms and bathrooms are clean and basicly designed to fill all the requirements. I don't have anything to complain about this hotel, while the location was also great.

"Memorable, lovely place to stay!"
We stayed at this hotel in September 2002 and May 2004. Using a discount from The Entertainment Book we were able to stay at NOK:595 a double, fantastic value. The rooms were attractive and comfortable. The maid left little romantic messages under the pillows..Keats' poems, etc.The breakfast was beautiful,enough to sustain us till well into the day. We actually discreetly packed a lunch at breakfast. The staff were very natural - warm and friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this great hotel-even at full price!Susanne Collins Australia.

"Great place to stay"
We booked this over the phone and Best Western gave us a good dea: we paid £65 per night for the room which included a HUGE breakfast. Like another reviewer, we decided to fill our bag with some extras for the day!!! a great idea and it looked like other people were doing the same! Oslo is insanely expensive a small diet pepsi and small bottle of beer cost us about £9 in the hotel bar. Still if you can just pay for one meal a day then it is not so bad: tourist info near Town hall has good eats ideas. Hotel room was nice and clean: on 5th floor. No complaints at all, except my wife thought the shower was a bit confined. Bed was comfortable and clean. bathroom was also very clean. The hotel allowed us a few hours extension on checking out for free (normally midday) and looked after our cases for free until about 5pm. Its about a 15 minute walk from where the Flybus drops you: near the SAS Radisson. Hotel is well located with easy walking distance from downtown and other attractions.

"Good location"
Stayed here for three nights. Had a nice large twin room on fourth floor. Room was well furnished although could do with refurbishment, carpet was a bit threadbare in places. Hotel is well located for access to public transport, buses (route 21 passes the door) and trams (route 12 & 19 very near by) and is only a ten minute walk (with luggage) from National Theater station which is served by trains from the airport (express Flytoget and local). Breakfast is inlcuded and is a buffet with both hot and cold dishes. I particularly liked the gravad lax and scrambled eggs. The hotel restaurant (evenings) was closed for refurbishment however there are plenty of eating establishments within a few minutes walk. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
