"I love Hotel Zinon!"
I was wary of Hotel Zinon after reading some of the reviews on here. People said the neighborhood was shifty and one guy hated everything about the hotel. But I absolutely loved it. It felt like home. Once I got used to the European-ness of the hotel (the elevator holds three people, the shower is very tiny, the room is not very big), I fell in love with it. For the price I paid (70 Euros or 92 dollars a night), it was fantastic. You get FREE BREAKFAST every day. Do you know how much money that saves you? The breakfast buffet included lunchmeats, cheese, 4 or 5 kinds of bread, delicious preserved fruits, hard-boiled eggs, pickled vegetables, fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, coffee, and a million different kinds of tea, among other things. The hotel staff are super-nice and helpful, especially the one guy who is almost always at the front desk. The cleaning lady is amazing. Our room never had bugs, and she always gave us new shower gels and shampoos each day. The neighborhood is a little noisy during the day, but at night, I slept fine, and I am a VERY light sleeper. The neighborhood is fine, especially in the daytime. I think that some other reviewers who had a problem with the neighborhood may have been intimidated by the fact that the hotel is in a predominately Muslim neighborhood (there are many Pakistani and Afghani people), but that only adds to Omonia's uniqueness. The hotel is on a busy street (Zinonos Street) with a lot of shops. Even at night, we were ok in Omonia. My best friend and I are both 23 and we walked through Omonia alone at midnight. As long as you don't play around and you go straight from the Metro to the hotel, you'll be fine. Over the eleven days we were in Athens, we really grew to love Omonia and feel that it was OUR neighborhood. The money exchange guy on Zinonos street not far from the Metro station is very nice and will not cheat you. I would definitely stay at Hotel Zinon again, and I hope to be able to do so as soon as possible!

"Very good price and decent hotel"
I booked 1 night in the Hotel Zinon before attending a conference at a hosted event. The hotel is in a bit of a dodgy area which for a guy in a suit with a laptop at 12 midnight was very unnerving. Nevertheless, the hotel staff are friendly and efficient and the hotel is clean and comfortable.
There is wifi internet access in every room which was just brilliant. I would fully recommend it for a 1 night flying visit.

"Overall Good Hotel"
Good Hotel, Good Price, Good Location. Hotel has been fully remolded and rooms look very nice, though they are small. The patio in our room was giant, but it had no patio furniture to be able to enjoy it. Elevators are old and small but work great. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also good. I would recommend it to anyone.
