A wonderful pleasant stay
I stayed in this hotel for approximately 4 weeks in summer this year and everything was top: service, room, breakfast, sport center, friendly and available personel, cleanliness, location. Absolutely fabulous !

Excellent
This was the best hotel that I stayed in through my own bookings. The room was excellent, large clean warm and inviting. Meals in dining room were excellent and presented extremely well. service was friendly, quick and sincere. nothing was any touble for any of the staff that I dealt with. Wouyld certainly stay here again and recommend any travellers to Frankfurt to do so.

very nice hotel
I and my husband were in Frankfurt to visit our friends and stayed in Hotel Friedberger Warte for three nights. We liked everything about the hotel and I agree all the good reviews about it. The friendly staff greet us in the lounge area and quickly checked in. The room was clean and comfortable with comfortable beds, nice bathroom and enough lighting. The breakfast generous and tasty. I can recommend this hotel to everyone will spend some time in Frankfurt.

We stayed for 2 nights 23+24 march 07, paying Euro 48 per room per night INC breakfast. The hotel is an easy level 8 - 10 mins approx walk from Gießener tram station on line U5 - easily walkable with overnight trolley bags: hotel is located on corner Homburger and Friedberger. Checkin was fast, however , we were allocated a twin room rather than a double as our confirmed reservation - on a weekend couple break this could be a major flaw for some people. No upgrade was available for extra payment. Our room also had a door to the bedroom next door (great for families!) and was not soundproofed as a result with some noise nusiance. But at this price we said nothing! And overall the room was excellent: clean, modern and everthing we needed. A drinks machine was outside too. We had one meal in the restaurant (see pics). Food was fine - but service odd, with guests having to get up and go over to the counter and wait (or call) for someone to appear and help. Obviously not much "training" going on that weekend evening! Breakfast on the otherhand on day 1 was great, one of the best selections and overall quality we've had for ages. First morning we were very promptly greeted and seated, on the next we just seated ourselves and got on with it. There's a mixed sauna downstairs too. The hotel needs to make the reception/lobby area no smoking and think carefully about ventilation in public areas. If you do not mind the location this is a great place to stay if the price is right. The location was no problem for us at all once we had located the hotel. If you go to Frankfurt on Sunday most shops are shut and travel can take much longer!

"Great hotel, a little off the beaten path"
This was a wonderful hotel. The location is not near the rail station or the airport. I would guess mostly business travelers stay here. The hotel is very modern and clean. By the time we got to Frankfurt it was very hot and humid. The AC was a welcome releif. Wonderful breakfast, the best we had in Germany. An exceptional find if you are willing to stay out of the city center.

"Very nice hotel, yet away from the center of Frankfurt"
We stayed at the Freidberger Warte for one night for the price was too good to pass up. A hot buffet breakfast was included in the price. This is an up scale hotel and the accomodations were excellent. The only thing we didn't like was the location. We like to stay within walking distance to the center of a city and even though the bus stop was close by as well as the subway, we thought this hotel was a bit out of the way. If you want to walk to the hotel from the main train station, it' s an hour and 20 minute walk. There were two restaurants on the premises and we only at ate one of them for breakfast which was very good. For dinner we decided to walk across the street to the old historic Friedberger Warte restaurant. A traditional German dinner served outside in their courtyard. Just head towards the lookout tower. Excellent hotel and staff.

we stayed at the Hotel Friedberger Warte for 6 nights and as we booked it via the internet we were a bit worried, but we were very very pleasently surprised , it was lovely , the room was very clean, modern, room service came every day and left it spotless, the breakfast was excellent, great choice, the hotel is about 10 minutes outside of the city , but a bus stop is just across the road and the bus takes you straight to a main underground/train station which connects to lots of places including the airport, I would recommend this hotel to anyone . be careful of booking a cheaper hotel in the city as some are in the red light district and there were people outside the hotels who were obviously under the influence of drugs and women were plying their trade!! outside some of the hotels which we nearly booked on the intenet.

Agree with all the compliments given to this hotel by the previous reviewers. It was fantastic, spotless, quiet, courteous, wonderful breakfast. I will most definitely stay here again if ever again in Frankfurt. The rate I got from Octopus Travel for this hotel was a steal. The directions given on the travel websites were not optimal. I recommend taking the S8 (from the "Regional Trains" terminal at the airport) all the way to Konstablerwache station and then hopping on bus 30 going north 7 stops to the Friedberger Warte stop. Altogether 3.35Euro from the airport to the hotel (or get a day pass for 7.40Euro if you expect to take more than two more trips in the city that day). A tip regarding lockers, if you should need them in Frankfurt: there were no lockers in Terminal 1, only a couple of full-service baggage storage facilities. 3.50Euro per 24 hours. There are self-service lockers at the main train station (1Euro small, 2Euro large) and at Hauptwache station (1.50Euro) -- but they were ALL occupied!

"Brand New Designer Hotel"
I agree with most of the other happy people who have stayed in this hotel. The Hotel Friedberger Warte was a wonderful surprise after a booking at the last minute. My family arrived, tried and stressed, and even though the hotel isnt in the middle of Frankfurt, we had the best stay of all the hotels in Germany! Brand new hotel and everything is detailed wonderfully (important since I'm a designer). All the furnishings and fittings were brand new, modern and well planned. The rooms, beds, common areas etc. were all VERY clean and fresh. Free wi-fi hotel wide and conferance facilities were fantastic! the helpful and English speaking hotel staff helped me with a simple 5-10 minute bus ride to the center of the city (for shopping), and even the maids were friendly and smiling. The bar staff were also lovely, and helped us in everyway they could! The breakfast was WONDERFUL (for a European breakfast) since it’s the site of a culinary school. We also ate dinner and lunch in the restraunt and it had a wide range of really good meals at a reasonable price. The sauna and gym was very accessible, clean and modern. When I go back to Frankfurt I'm staying here again, without a doubt!
