LOCATION

Kings Manor Hotel in Edinburgh is in the eastern suburbs, around 10-15 minutes from the city centre itself yet only a few minutes from Edinburgh's golden sands at Portobello beach.

The beaches and golf courses of East Lothian are only a short drive away, as are the scenic Lammermuir Hills which roll into the Scottish Borders.

As one of the world's great cities, Edinburgh is always at the head of every list of places to visit, whether for a short break in Scotland, a weekend break in Edinburgh or places to hold a conference in Scotland. Once you have visited Edinburgh you will know why this is the case.

It is set in a spectacular natural environment with hills to the north and south, water to the north and east and lowland landscape to west and east.
The very heart of the city is dominated by ancient volcanic plugs that today form Corstorphine and Calton hills, Arthur's Seat and Castle hill.

The hotel is just a few minutes from the main A1 south and just over 1 km from the city bypass that links Edinburgh with the rest of the country. Edinburgh Airport is on the west side of town and can be reached by skirting the city centre using the bypass or by the airport bus to the city centre which links to the main public transport system.

"Surprising Good!"
Came across this hotel on recommendation from a friend who had stayed during a conference. It has a huge car park so we can leave the car and hop on a bus into the city- fast and cheap. After the sightseeing we ate in the bistro which is bright and airy with very good food . They had a special offer on wine- which helped! Rooms were a good size with everything that you can need including Sky Sports for footie! Leisure club had a huge pool as well as gym , a brand new sauna etc. A great way to spend Sunday morning. Breakfast had a good range and had really friendly service. Everyone was VERY helpful throughout our stay. Really good hotel if looking for easy access to the city without the noise at night. ( its only 5 minutes from the beach as well.) Will go back!

"Excellent value for money"
Booked a two nights for the price of one through Best Western website - what a fantastic deal. Hotel is immaculately clean and recently refurbished (the carpets still have their new smell). We were upgraded for free (maybe because I'm a BW gold card holder??) into one of the club rooms - large plasma TV, DVD, Sony playstation and large bathroom. Help yourself breakfast very nice, hot and cold, leisure facilities excellent and all staff very courteous and helpful. Didn't use the a la carte restaurant but the bistro meals were very good. Ample parking and only a 10 minute walk to the train station which is then a 6 minute journey into Edinburgh itself. (£10 taxi back again at night) Recommended and would use again.

"Perfect place to stay!!"
My boyfriend and I stayed three nights in order to visit Edinburgh city for a weekend break. The hotel was lovely, clean and the staff were friendly. We booked room only however on arrival were told we could have breakfast at half price! The food was good, lots of choice. There is a bus service outside the hotel which runs every 10 minutes into the city centre. It takes about 30minutes and costs £1.00 no matter of the distance. It would be one pound for 2 or 20 stops! I would definatly recommend this hotel and would stay again any time.
