A first class hotel consisting of a series of Edwardian houses...
Best Western Linton Lodge Hotel is a first class hotel consisting of a series of Edwardian houses, which have been converted whilst retaining much of the original atmosphere. The hotel is situated in a quiet residential area yet only a few minutes walk to the city center. This is a traditional hotel built in 1900, set in its own grounds. Originally it was three Georgian houses which have been converted and has had a new wing added.
In addition the hotel also holds a wedding licence and with our 1.5 acres of well-maintained and mature gardens makes the Linton Lodge an ideal setting for all guests. And all this just a 10-minute walk to the centre of Oxford.
The hotel offers well-appointed and very comfortable guest rooms along with seven function rooms for corporate and private events, a garden providing a 9-hole putting green and croquet lawn in addition to 24-hour room service.
Dining is available at the restaurant, which offers both table d'hote and a la carte menus, while the bar provides snacks and light meals in a more casual atmosphere.
Within a comfortable walk from the Best Western Linton Lodge Hotel or by sightseeing bus, the city of Oxford provides a wealth of historic attractions. Take a punt on the River Cherwell, just a 10-minute walk from the hotel or explore the cotswold villages via the train stopping at eight villages. |

"Yet another lovely stay!!!"
My husband and I have been staying at this hotel once or twice a year for about 10 years now and we have never had a bad stay. We have never paid £135 a night in all the years we've been staying there and we book direct through the hotel. Our last stay was £180 for a double room for 2 nights which I think is ok. We have always had a lovely breakfast and been served by friendly staff. Our rooms have always been clean and comfortable (although, I have to admit, I would prefer a quilt to blankets) but this is a minor detail and certainly not a problem. On our last stay we ordered food from room service and I have to say it was best meal I'd had in Oxford. In my opinion this hotel has been unfairly reviewed and I know that the reviews would put people off so I am writting this to redress the balance. I am sure that the majority of people who use this hotel are entirely satisfied and therefore don't bother to review it but I really wish they would as I'm sure there would be more good reports than bad. See you soon Linton Lodge.

A disappointing stay.
Scruffy rooms, ancient bathroom with no proper shower, ripped towels and horrid breakfast. |
