Hotel Museum is not only the direct neighbour of the National Museum (Rembrandt!), but also the two other famous museums are close by: the Van Gogh Museum and the Municipal Museum (modern art).

Are you in the mood to shop? Amsterdam’s most sophisticated shopping area is literally just around the corner: the P.C. Hooftstraat (with all the most famous designer labels), the Van Baerlestraat and the Leidsetraat. Plus the Leidseplein with it’s exciting nightlife (city theatre, disco’s cinemas, Casino).

There is ample parking space, even for coaches in the underground garage at Museumplein. The KLM airportshuttle stops only 25 meters from the hotel.

"Central,Spotlesss, Cheap & Cheerful"
Very central hotel. Staff were very pleasant courteous. Room/Ensuite was basic however it was spotless and the sheets were so clean.Breakfast was typical continental but a very plentiful buffet. A very central location to all the landmarks & pubs orr just jump on a tram to get to where u want to go. Recommend this hotel again. From Dublin, Ireland

"Lovely centeral hotel"
Booked this hotel before reading reviews and I was very nervous. But the hotel was lovely, Obvisuly there was renovation work going on but it didnt disturb us at all. The room was clean and modern, we booked the deluxe which might have helped. The only problems we encounted were the telephones in our rooms didnt work and there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room as stated. Fantastic location.

"Great Hotel & Price!"
can't believe the previous reviews. The hotel was really nice and clean. The front desk was very helpful during check-in, travel hints, directions, etc. They have a free safe behind the desk for presonal belongings. The room was the ususal small European size, but very clean. Nice bar and good breakfast including scrambled eggs. Right on the corner is the restaurant, Sama Sebo, for a great "rice Table" dinner. It's written up in several magazines including Delta that we read on the flight over. The canal boat is on the corner, right across from the museum, and the trolley is on the other side of the canal. Very quiet which is hard to find in a city! Price was so reasonable, we were afraid, but turned out to be the best deal we had in Europe!

"very nice hotel"
Very handy location, near museums. This hotel is a little bit tired but in their defense they were in the process of doing it up. As far as European hotels go it was good. Excellent cooked buffet breakfast. Staff helpful and friendly. Would stay there again.
