"Excellent Location" We stayed at the Victor's Residenz-Hotel and will return again in February 2005. Location can't be beat, as it is just across from the main train station -- perfect if you are arriving by train or via the airport express train from the airport (14 minutes and only 3,30 EUR from the airport). The entire hotel was updated in 2000/2001 and the room are spacious, with fully equipped and modern bathrooms. Restaurant is excellent for lunch and dinner and the expansive breakfast buffet provides enough nourishment to keep you going all day long. Service was excellent. Concierge is very helpful with recommendations and making arrangements. All of the main sights are within walking distance and if you need to use the trams or buses, you just cross the street to the station which is a transportation hub for all modes of transport. Rates are very competitive and the hotel can be booked through Best Western toll-free reservations.

"nice staff and good location" we stayed at this hotel a whole week for the Game Convention (GDCD). Our 2 years old daughter travelled with us. When I made the reservation, I did not mention that we needed a baby bed. On the night we arrived, the hotel did not have free baby bed for us. But the next day they brought one to our room. The room is not very big but nicely decorated. The bathroom is spacious and new. The breakfast buffet is great, and the staff is very friendly to guests. Since we got to Leipzig by train, the location of this hotel (just across the train station) is wonderful too cause bus stops are very close. The shopping mall inside the train station is open till 10 pm which is also a plus. The only thing we did not realize before is that Internet access costs money and it is not cheap. 99 Euro for a week's access.
