"fantastic trip, wondeful hotel"
i stayed at the best western from February 26-30 had a wonderful time. the room was small indeed for 2 people, however it is New York City after all. The room was clean, always with towels, toiletries plentiful. It's a wonderful location as you take a right out the hotel door and there's Times Square. The only complaint would be the noise from the street, not an issue during the day but at night i'd suggest the hotel consider getting soundproof windows! Overall, great hotel, highly recommended!

"A Theatre District Surprise"
This hotel is just completing a renovation and the results are impressive. Even the building`s facade and exterior brick walls look newly sandblasted so first impressions, even before entering, are very positive. It seems like all the budget/midpriced hotel chains have properties in Manhattan now and this hotel is the grandaddy of them all. This recent renovation also makes it the most upscale of them all. During our visit, the restaurant was still closed for refurbishing. The front desk staff was efficient and amiable, so check-in was quick and pleasant. When leaving the elevator to go to our room, we were again immediately impressed with the hallways. They are newly decorated with bright art deco style light fixtures. Upon entering our small, but adequately sized room, we were delighted with the nice furnishings, colorfully bordered wallpaper, floral carpeting, and sparkling new tile bathroom. This is, unquestionaly, the nicest midpriced hotel facelift we`ve seen in the city. For all this we paid only $149 per night. This is a steal for this kind of quality just off of Times Square. You`ll pay a great deal more for the run down, behemoth Theatre District hotels that are nearby. You`ll also pay more for a tiny room in the "budget" chain hotels in the vicinity. This is highly recommended and it is now our NYC hotel of choice......not to be missed by those who seek quality and value!
