"Wonderful Breakfast @ Location"
We flew with Easyjet and landed at an airport on the Asian side so could not take advantage of the free taxi the hotel had offered in its package. The hotel was hard to find at first, but on doing so all we found was excellent service, clean well looked after rooms, fantastic breakfast served with rooftop views of the sea.
Always a welcome on returning from sightseeing and helpful reception staff. The Grand Bazaar is only a few hundred yards away as is an excellent tram line to take you for a fare of 1.3 lire, approx 50p. Well worth considering if you want to stay in the old part of Istanbul

"Great place, Helpful staff"
have just spent 3 wonderful days in istanbul, was there for the 2nd time in 3 years, to watch my team, liverpool f.c. could not have chosen a better hotel than the best western president, from the moment we arrived the staff were brilliant, we had a side room but you still had very good views of the sea of mamaris, plus the beyazit mosque..the facilities were very good, from the roof terrace a brilliant view of old istanbul, also a top class breakfast buffet, the reception has a wonderful coffee bar with water features,+ it was a change to be in an english theme bar that was'nt too false!!the grand bazaar is about a 5 minute walk away, also down the hill from the hotel is an area called kumkapi, where you will find many restaurants, many selling fish freshly caught that day!!! the blue mosque is about a 10 minute walk away, just follow the tram lines..all in all another wonderful stay in istanbul,+ staying at the president certainly helped!!

"Great place, Helpful staff"
Nice hotel, friendly helpful staff. Room was new and clean with a great view. Breakfast was good too.
I booked through hotel website upon arrival at airport, and called them for airport pick-up (offered free with two night stay) and was told to take yellow cab and they would pay for it at reception.
Hotel website offered $99 u.s./night, not terribly expensive for this place. Upon checkout, I produced pre paid best western cards that were unfamiliar to the desk person, whom immediately got on the phone and internet to take care of everything with grace and a smile.

"Excellent Hotel"
I just returned from an eight-night stay at the President hotel. I had a suite on the 4th floor facing the Marmara Sea. From the minute of my arrival to the minute of my departure, all I experienced a pleasant atmosphere and caring genuine staff. My stay included a full breakfast buffet, which it was outstanding and generous. While there, I visited the Orient house club, which was another experience full of history and culture, which was a mix folklore & Turkish dance, belly dance, singing, and a magnificent dinner show.
The hotel is located in an excellent location in the old city, just a few minutes walk to the Grand Bazaar, the Blue Mosque, and Hagia Sophia, and other historical sites. I walked and shopped all day. The only thing is it was hot due to the month of August, and smoking! The hotel has two PCs on the 1st floor to send or to check your E-mails. The staff and the reception desk are muti- lingual and very knowledge and friendly.
I enjoyed talking to all of them, and they even speak Arabic. I felt I was home, and very welcomed. I enjoyed dinner at the terrace restaurant facing the Marmara Sea. The food is of an excellent quality, and you can say it is a gourmet presentation, while listening to the evening prayer and a wonderful ocean breeze after a hot humid day. I will definitely stay again visiting Istanbul at the president.
