"Reasonable, quiet hotel" We stayed at this hotel in February. We had a top floor room and were pleased with it. The room had nice high ceilings, and lots of room and was quiet. We faced Kingsway Avenue but found it wasn't noisy. The continental breakfast included was also varied and good. The price was the best part. The location was good, nothing wrong with the area and was near where my daughter lives. Can't ask for much more.

"Uptown Best Western is nice" Good choice if you are looking for inexpensive accomodations and don't need to be downtown. Room was clean and a decent size. Fourth floor room on the north side had a nice view of the city and mountains. Continental breakfast is nothing more than cereal, bagels, pastry but there is a pleasant inexpensive cafe next door. Very secure underground parking is free/

"Excellent hotel" Stayed here for four nights in Sep 06. Secure underground parking, however, there are more rooms than vehicle parking spaces so arrive before 7PM if you want to be sure of a parking space in the secure area (and you will need this!). All rooms have free internet (either by cable or wireless) and there is a internet station in the lobby which costs $6 an hour to use. The room was of excellent standard, very clean, everything worked etc. Breakfast was very good and free, however, the breakfast room only seats about 20 people and on three of the four mornings we had to return to our room to eat the food as there were no seats in the breakfast room. The hotel is a long walk to the SkyTrain station so you will need to get the Number 9 bus which takes about 10 minutes. The hotel has lots of convenience shops nearby as well as a large drug store. The local area is OK by day but questionable at night. Few vehicles left on the roadside at night and those that were very tatty and old. To have 100% peace of mind for your car you will need to park it in the underground car park but space is limited
