"Spot On !"
Had no problems here, friendly staff, free breakfast - bonus! - excellent location away from the hussle and bussle 10 minute waterbus trip to san marco, Spotless room with lagoon view, Excellent value for money.

"The best"
I didn't expect such a big room, such a great breakfast and such friendly staff having read the latest reviews and this site. Furthermore we made a bg deal as we had a room for Euro 68,-/night. I would recommend this hotel to everybody who likes to stay in Venice but also likes to stay at a quiet place having the impression to be located at the sea... In addition you have to walk about 7 Minutes to get from the ferry to the hotel. It didn't bother us but if you do not like it...By the way: It was my second stay in Venice so I can compare it.. |

"Beautiful Hotel"
The Villa Mabapa is a beautiful Hotel, slightly off the beaten track but believe me after a day in St Mark's Square you will be relieved! The Hotel restaurant is excellent and the staff extremely gracious and welcoming - in addition the Gran Viale of the Lido is a pleasant 10 minute walk away with a good selection of restaurants that cater mostly to the local population so you don't have to worry about getting caught in Tourist Traps. The journey from the Airport by Water Taxi is effortless and by the Allilaguna Service equally easy (although a 10 minute walk from the drop off point - there are taxis and a bus service though) The great plus about this hotel is the access to the beautiful beach - making this the ideal hotel for a combined sightseeing and beach holiday. We will definitely be back to this hotel.

"Great Hotel"
We stayed at the Mabapa in October 2006. The hotel is very nice. Beautiful grounds and pleasant staff. They provide an excellent breakfast with numerous options to choose from. The water buses run regularly to the main island. A tip is to use the island bus system to get to the water bus it takes less than 10 minutes and will save you a very expensive taxi ride. However you can also walk and it is only about 1Km to the hotel from the station. One other tip purchase an all day water bus ticket for 12Euros so that you can come back and forth without spending a fortune.

"Loved it"
The hotel is far from the city's main drags and that is why i liked it - nice and serene and a short walk from the vaporetto.
The staff was friendly and accommodating and helpful in providing information.
Overall a very good experience.

"Nice secret place"
Lovely small hotel with friendly, attentive staff. Loved the quiet room off the lobby to read the morning paper and sip my capuccino. Room was comfortable and clean.
Even in December, the front garden was nice and the short walk to the vaporetto was worth the price.
I will go back as soon as I can.
