"Peaceful retreat at Patong"
The hotel was beautiful, stretched up the hill with a cascade of blue-tiled pools. Staff was friendly but not overbearing (though their English was limited). The wifi Internet worked both in the lobby and in our room (with some helpful technical assistance from their IT staff). I don't think we even turned the TV on ;-)
The restaurant was good, though we only tried the breakfast buffet. I didn't notice the leftover others have mentioned.
For dinner, there are several excellent restaurants within walking distance along road down into Patong. There's even a friendly motorbike rental guy just outside the gate who can save one from dealing with the rapacious Phuket taxi drivers.

"Pleasing Phuket"
We had absolutely no problems with the food or the service. The room was large and sparkling clean. For Asia, the beds were very comfortable and the buffet breakfast was good (they do have western food such as pancakes and bacon as well as an omlette/egg chef). We had no problems with service, and found the front desk, bell hop, and tour desk to be available and attentive.
The hotel is about half a mile up the road from the beach. It's about a 5 minute walk or the hotel van will drive you down for 50B per person (a cab will cost you minimum 100B after negotiation).
Only suggestion - don't buy drinks/snacks in the lobby or use their spa services, they're overpriced. There's a small store near the end of the driveway where you can get cold drinks and snacks for half the price or go somewhere else on the beach. Likewise, for basic spa services go to one of the cheaper shops near the beach - I got a manicure and pedicure for 300B, which was half as much as at the hotel. Their bar drinks are also slightly more than most places near the beach.

"Beautiful and romantic"
Had a very pleasant stay for 2nights in the hotel. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay, away from all the hustle and bustle, then tis is it...Up on top of a hill, away from Patong Beach, it was great!! Staffs were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean, and swimming pool were great!! Looking out while the sun setting in the pool, it was amazing..And, the room that we stayed in, was exactly what we had seen online. No gimmicks..It's truely an unforgetting experience...Have been planning to go back again since the trip...However, the food served in the hotel was disappointing..too expensive for the quality and quantity. Would suggest to go to Surin Beach, Lemongrass restaurant to have seafood instead of the hotel or even patong beach..
