"Had a nice room for 5" I was quite surprised at earlier reviews of this hotel, as we found it very convenient and enjoyed our short stay. We arrived by car, and the hotel got us a discount pass to park at the rail station (1 block away). The Duomo and Uffizi were less than a 10 minute walk in one direction, and the Accademia (statue of David) about 10 minutes the other way. The staff, though not overly friendly, were quite helpful and we thought that the breakfast was very nice. We had a very large room which accomodated our group of 5 (2 adults, 3 children [13, 11 & 9]) with its own bath. We paid 120 euros/night. We didn't find it noisy, even though the street out front is a busy thoroughfare. We had no problems with the elevator either. Perhaps earlier reviewers are pickier than I am, but I would recommend this hotel, and would stay here again.
