Boringdon Hall is a stunning property, a Grade I listed Elizabethan Manor House restored to its former glory and situated only 5 miles from Plymouth city centre.

The hotel is steeped in history with past vistors including Queen Elisabeth I, Sir Walter Raleigh and Sir Francis Drake. There is character in abundance with original architectural features retained such as deep walls, huge fireplaces and ornate ceilings. A variety of bedrooms, including a number of four-posters, are available. Dinner is served in the wonderful Gallery Restaurant which overlooks the Great Hall.

"Stay in an Ancient Mansion"
Stayed 9 nights. Great place for the business traveler. Spent almost no time in the room except to sleep. Comfortable room and wonderful bar and restaurant. Lack of Air Conditioning was not a problem in the Plymouth climate. Interesting to watch the rabbits on the lawn early in the morning. Short cab ride to downtown. Plymouth Gin factory is an interesting short tour. Fish and Chips on the Barbicam makes a great lunch.

"Wonderful - stunning location and super service."
I stayed over a Friday night following business visits locally and had my husband come down from London via the train to have a quiet night away. The first thing that greets you at the top of the drive is the impressive view of the hotel – it is striking, very “castle” like and seeped in character. The second impression is the staff – absolutely fantastic from start to finish – I mentioned on checking in that I would be picking my husband up from the station and how far was it. On getting settled I ordered some room service to also be told at reception they had outlined a map for me to get to the station – what fabulous customer service! The rooms are charming, the staff excellent and the features awesome. The breakfast was superb and the whole experience was so good we wanted to stay an extra night – unfortunately and unsurprisingly they were fully booked, but we will defiantly be returning. Excellent value and a super stay. 10/10
