LOCATION
Botel & Ristorante Matylda is located in Central Prague, about a 15 minute walk to Charles Square and not far from Wenceslas Square. Just next to the hotel is the Jiraskuv Bridge which connects the New Town to Smichov district. Ma’nes, an attractive art gallery is only footsteps away. As you walk towards the bridge from the hotel, you will see an interesting building which is called the Dancing House. The building features a French restaurant where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city as well.
About 200 metres (650 feet) from the Dancing House is the Orthodox Cathedral of Saints Cyril and Methodius, built in the 18th century. Then you may like to see the Charles Square which is the largest medieval town square in Europe. To the north of this square is the New Town Hall.
A pleasant walk along the Vltava River leads you to the National Theatre where opera, ballet and drama performances take place.
The closest public transportation link is Jiraskova Namesti tram station.

Loved the Charm and Views
Prague was the beginning our our trip and not realizing that we had booked a botel was a little shocking at first, but the hospitality, care and friendliness of this botel was a wonderful beginning to our trip. The rooms were small but had been recently renivated with everything one would need. We loved the location, great walking to all sights and restaurants. We dined a couple of evenings at the Matilda restaurant which was quite nice and the breakfast always had a nice assortment of cereals, sweet rolls, breads and loved the fresh cheese and meat plate put on every table.
Thank you Matilda you are a great find. |

The breakfast was good, and offered a nice selection of cereal, breads, cold meats, and juices.The Botel Matylda offers great value and location for your money. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would recommend it without question to our friends, and we will definitely be back!

" lovely with a nice view "
The room was lovely with a nice view of the river. The room has a very nice shower and comfortable bed. One thing I would suggest though is a fan in the room because it was a bit hot. The lady at reception was very friendly and helpful and on our last day we left before breakfast and they have prepared a take-away breakfast for us. |
