"fantastic hotel" what a fantastic hotel. This place is small and compacted in a brilliant location truely in the heart of old riga.The staff were lovely couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect. The room was average size and very pretty. Breakfast was a great way to start the day exploring, set in the lovely curved stone basement with attentive staff a good range on offer. The time range for breaky was vast 3.5 hrs which suited are varying needs over the few days we spent there. We were able to check in early on the day of arrival and leave late if needed. The only draw back was the ambient light through the curtains at night from the outside street light was quite bright even though the street was extremely quiet at night. All in all we could not of stayed at a better hotel for a short break.I will recommend this place to anybody and everyone. fantastic!

"Fantastic Hotel Viesturs!" Just back from a fantastic three days in Riga, staying in Hotel Viesturs. What a lovely experience - the helpful and pleasant staff on the desk, the superb breakfast (porridge or pancakes or omelettes etc., cooked in an instant in front of you) served by another charming young lady, the rooms, each one with its own character and pleasantly warm in spite of the snowy/icy conditions outside - all contributed to a memorable holiday in Riga. We would definitely recommend this hotel, with its very central and extremely quiet location in the Old City, to anyone planning a trip to Riga

"nice" Exellent location in the middle of old town. Nice newly renovated boutique hotel. Small but modern/romantic rooms. Bathrooms were also nicely modernized. Best of it all: The breakfast room was pretty cramped, but a very nice waitress made pancakes as we ate every day. She also makes scrambled eggs and other warm meals of your choice. Recomendable
