Good location, pleasant room
The hotel web site includes this description: "The hotel is in a quiet street, approx. 50 meters away the Sendlinger Tor, several major subway and tram lines." That is very accurate. The Bristol is tucked away, around the corner from a major street, but is not itself on a busy street. The transportation options are excellent, with several tram and metro lines stopping close-by. One piece of advice - avoid staying on the same floor where breakfast is served. There is a lot of activity in the mornings around breakfast, which is good if you worry about over-sleeping ,but bad if you want to linger in bed. The front desk staff were helpful and pleasant. The single room I stayed in had a double bed, which is somewhat unusual in Europe. That alone made the room seem luxurious. It's a solid, clean hotel which will appeal to persons looking for an inexpensive hotel. Also, free Internet in the lobby. Breakfast was typical European fare.

"Excellent breakfast"
Bristol Hotel is very close from the city center main attractions but in a red light area at night. The rooms are a bit small, but very clean. Pillow unconfortable. Bathroom clean and basic. Excellent breakfast, lots of variety and good quality stuff. Breakfast room a bit small. Staff was helpful, but didn't react too well to complaints.

Bristol Hotel's breakfast was wonderful. All of the people were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. There seemed to be a lot of noise on the street very early in the morning. It was very hot while we were there, so air conditioning would have been nice.
