"30 years ago New Years week!"
It was quite a while ago, but we have pleasant memories. The Hotel then was beautiful, the grounds immaculate. I expected Burt Lancaster to turn the corner at any moment. The service great. Dinners exceptional. I never had better oranges in my life. Unfortunately we had a terrible rain storm for the entire week. Our power was gone. Fortunately they supplied us with candles and playing cards We tried to get up to Etna but the Carribinieri stopped us because our rental did not have chains. But we got pretty close. The ruins were fabulous, the views magnificent. Many of Churchills paintings were done here. Our last day was wonderful the sky open bluer than blue the water a blue green unmatched anywhere. I would love to return.

"Fabulous break"
The Bristol Park Hotel was fabulous - the room was beautiful with magnificent seaviews and french windows opening onto views of Taormina against the backdrop of Mount Tauro. The staff at the hotel were friendly, courteous and very efficient. The food was of a very good standard (except the fruit juice - but who travels to Italy to drink the juice) the coffee is what matters. The pool area was immaculate and the views from the terrace bar unsurpassable. We had a wonderful week at the Bristol Park Hotel in Taormina and highly recommend it to other travellers.

"Fantastic holiday"
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bristol Park. As mentioned in another review it would probably rate a 3-star in other places. However seasoned travellers to Italy will be aware that the star ratings all over the country tend to be one star higher than in other parts of Europe. That aside we though the hotel was great and it's slightly faded elegance only added to it's charm. The rooms were big, spotlessly clean and the views second to none.
The staff were very friendly, and helpful, and the hotel is in a superb position, convenient for everything but located on a quiet road. Breakfast was fairly standard Italian fare, but we thought the dinners were wonderful. There were usually 3 choices for starter and main course and the menu included alot of traditional Sicilian food, and the portions were huge.
I would recommend the Bristol Park if you want to stay in a real Italian hotel. It's not a place to stay if you want burger and chips!!
