"A Great Hotel"
We stayed here with a group and enjoyed a great price. All of the bedrooms were refurbished in 2006 and very comfortable with all the usual trimmings. Dinner and Breakfast, both Buffet Style were just excellent and a nice Duo performing in the Lounge Bar rounded off the evening perfectly. There is a new Leisure Centre opening during the Summer. We would recommend this Hotel to everyone.

"Good Value for Money Hotel - Nicely refurbished"
My Husband and I stayed at the Britannia Bournemouth for 2 nights at the end of February. I wanted a Hotel close to the BIC and the Britannia was about a 10 minute walk away. It was very close to one of the paths down to the sandy beach.
I was really happy with the hotel. It had been refurbished last year. I feel they had tried very hard to update this hotel to a fairly good standard. We had a room on the 3rd floor which was nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable. The shower room was somewhat cramped and the water, whilst showering, went a bit hot then cold at times, but the hotel Manager seemed very interested in our minor complaints wanting to remedy these for the future. The Restaurant Manager was very obliging, nothing seemed too much trouble. There was plenty of food at meal times and overall it was fairly average, but in saying that, on our first night for the evening meal, they had run out of salmon which was on the menu. The Restaurant Manager offered to have some Trout cooked, which, 20 minutes later turned up absolutely perfectly cooked. I also enjoyed the lovely bacon which was served as part of the full-English breakfast. The restaurant was very comfortable with modern seating.
We asked for a quiet room which we were given, but had it been high season, who knows, Bournemouth is a popular place and a hotel offering good rates may attract young, and therefore noisy guests (or am I being unfair to younger guests, apologies if you are a quiet younger guest reading this!)
Considering we got a good deal on a half-board basis, it was very good value for money. I would definately recommend this hotel and would certainly stay again if I I ever went back to Bournemouth.
