Cab Inn Scandinavia Hotel is located centraly in Copenhagen at Frederiksberg, near the lakes and forum. The Town Hall Square, Raadhuspladsen, is within 10 minutes walking distance. Cab Inn is a relatively new Danish hotel concept offering high quality hotel rooms at a budget basis.
The idea is copied from the cabins of passenger ships, which contain all the essentiels and puts the limited space to maximum use. On site amenities and services include a 24 hours reception, an Internet Point in the lobby, a snack/bar, where drinks and snacks are served all day, a conference and a meeting room. |

"Great comfortable, affordable, friendly, convenient hotel"
My husband and I spent eight days at the Cab-Inn Scandiavia while attending the Rotary Interntional Conference. We were quite happy there: Although the rooms are small by USA standards, in fact they resemble ship cabins (hence their name? Cab-Inn?), they are quite adequate, reasonably priced, in a charming quiet neighborhood right near wonderful running paths and about 2 blocks from the subway stop. It is actually within walking distance of Tivoli and the train station, although it took us a bit to figure that out.
Several people we met at the conference had upgraded to higher priced facilities but their rooms were not much larger, their neighborhoods more noisy and in general, not such a good deal as this. Yes the bathroom is teeny, the shower is just the curtain pulled around a corner, but the design is efficient, and it works. The service does not include making up the beds, you need to shake out your comforter and put it on the bed, but that is OK too. The beds are comfortable, the breakfast is fine, there is a nice convivial lounge with a computer for folks to use, and the staff is very friendly and helpful, they all speak English perfectly, and overall it is a very pleasant atmosphere.
For Copenhagen, this seems to be a great deal. It is not as if you are there to sit in your room! We would stay here again.

"Convenient and practical"
We decided to stay here because it was pretty convenient and affordable. If you are not looking for luxury accomodation and treat your room as a place to sleep, then this hotel will work for you. Yes, the size is small, but it was not claustrophobic as some people suggested. The room was clean, and the bed is enough for one person. After walking around the train station and the hotels nearby, I was happy with my choice to stay in clean and quiet neighborhood. The bus 2A stops nearby, and from the city hall it is a 5 minute bus ride or 15 minutes leisurely walk.
I was satisfied with the choice that I made. After all, you don't come to Copenhagen to stay in your hotel!
