The holiday village is located in Sao Jorge, which is situated some 50 km to the northwest of Funchal. The peaceful location and idyllic surrounds make this the ideal stopover point. The houses have been laid out in a terraced style down the hillside as far as the clear Atlantic waters. The damp air during the winter means that the slopes of Sao Jorge remain lush green throughout the year, with the fruit trees, cornfields, sweet potatoes and citrus fruits providing colourful contrasts. The centre of Santana and the nearby leisure park are both just 10 minutes drive away and it is 37 km to Machico. Madeira airport is approximately 40 km away.

This recently modernised holiday village is surrounded by greenery-filled grounds and comprises a total of 25 bungalows and 10 double rooms that are housed within traditional rotundas affording the highest levels of modern comfort. Facilities include a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a kiosk, safe, a cafe, a TV room, a breakfast room and a restaurant (capacity of 120 persons; highchairs available for infants) offering a range of meals and snacks. Moreover, it is possible to chill out in the billiards room or the lobby. There is a laundry service available to guests for a charge, as well as car parking facilities.It is recommended that guests hire a car in order to reach the island s capital, Funchal, which is located in the north-east.
