"Great for swimming pool and private beach"
booked this hotel before looking at tripadvisor, so I went expecting the worst. We had a great time however, despite some of the hotel's flaws. The Calabona is best as a family holiday by the pool or by the small private beach. As some have stated parts of the hotel are in need of updating, but our bathroom was a modern re-fit and the large pool itself looks pretty modern too. What was good for us, two kids plus mum and dad, was getting a room on the ground floor with direct verandah access to the pool.
Another point, do not be put off by the pics on the hotel website, it is not as naff as it looks.
