"peaceful retreat"
Great place for peace and quiet definatley not for party people. lovely location great rooms we had a jacuzzi suit definatly worth the money. Beach is lovely but you can only swim when tide is in because there are rocks, in the rooms there is a sheet with the best times to swim on.there is also alot of coral on the beach it is not just soft sand.food is great would recommend panwa house resturant on the beach front, food is not expensive in hotel compared to food in britan but you will have a shock how much cheaper it is outside the hotel. The light house pub looks very run down but has a great atmosphere Tong who works inside is a lovely friendly guy who looks after every one and makes you feel welcome also look out for varoon (mr rain) the pool attend he he is great and cant do enough for you.Take plenty of mosquito repellant as there are mosquito.would reccomend the full day island hopper trip booked at hotel it takes you to phi phi island , monkey beach, maya bay (where the beach was filmed and many other small islands also you snorkel and have lunch.

"Yes, a delight to stay here"
The hotel is clean, comfortable, and a delight to stay in if you want a bit of peace and quiet while not being too isolated (if you want night-life, OK, read no further and look at Patong). The staff are pleasant and helpful and the facilities excellent. Mind you, what really made our stay was the decision to upgrade to a “one bedroom jacuzzi suite” - more space, a double size balcony, superb view (they put the suites on the top floor), and our personal jacuzi on the balcony, which certainly got a lot of use.
I would give five stars but the hotel food, while good, was rather overpriced for what you did get, especially once they added in service charge and VAT. You can avoid these by buying books of vouchers for meals (five gets you one extra free, ten gets you three extra free) but they do not make a big thing of telling you this. You can also use these vouchers down to Unccle Nan’s at the nearby and linked Bay Hotel (very good) but for many evening meals we did what others have recommended and went to Sawasdee down in the village.
I don’t know when / if we’ll be going back to Phuket, but if we do the Cape Panwa will be our hotel of choice – in a jacuzi suite, of course.

"UNFOUND PARADISE"
We have just returned today from staying @ The Cape Panwa hotel, this was our 2nd visit there, yet again we had a fabulous holiday. Although the hotel is secluded, there is plenty going on for a nice relaxing holiday, batik painting, fruit carving, thai cooking lessons, scuba diving in the pool and various other activities.
The staff are fantastic, they really make you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble for them. Jaran and Somporn by the pool are very helpful, and the bell boys are all a good bunch of guys. Infact, all the staff are extremelly polite and welcoming.
The food at the hotel is very good, although it is rather pricy for Thailand, but nice for the odd treat. We like Cafe Andaman, Top of the Reef and Panwa House on the beach which has spectacular views.
We ate mostly at a small restaurant near the Bay Hotel called Sawasadee, the food and hospitality is unbeatable, the price is incredibly cheap.
We are just wondering about booking our next trip now!
