As a birthday treat we spent 3 nights here. Lille is a lovely city to visit and this hotel is in a perfect location. Perhaps not the best hotel ever but fine for a short city break...if a good deal is found on eurostar

Hotel Carlton Lille France 27/11/2006. My partner and I have just returned from a weekend break in Lille staying at the Carlton Hotel. After reading some of the reviews on your site we were pleasantly suprised to find such a nice hotel when we arrived. The location is good, the hotel itself was very clean and very comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and the continental breakfast was fine. We have stayed in many hotels in France and would rate this one as better than average for service and value.

"Classy Carlton"
The Hotel Carlton is pure class. Take a step back in time. Beautiful room with air conditioning, mini bar and T.V. The walls are lined with fabric. Centrally located, beside the Opera house and the Le Bourse, it is only 8 Euros by taxi from Eurostar train terminal. You could walk it if you don't have too much luggage. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. We were very impressed. I would thoroughly recommend it as the place to stay in Lille.

A very central location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only slight criticism, is that breakfast could have had a bit more variety. We will stay there if we go to Lille again.
