LOCATION

Hotel Casa Marcello is located in the historic city centre of Prague, close to the Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square. The hotel is a part of Saint Agnes Monastery which was built in 1231 and today it is home for medieval art exhibitions. To the north is Stefanikuv Bridge which will lead you to Letna Park and National Technical Museum.

Old Town Square features magnificent structures such as the Old Town Hall and Tower, the St. Nicholas Church and the Church of Our Lady in front of Tyn where you can see the oldest pipe organ in Prague. In the middle of the square stands a statue of Jan Hus who was a religious reformer lived in 14th and 15th centuries. The Astronomical Clock, consisting of an astronomical dial, a clockwork with moving figures and a calendar dial, is mounted on the southern wall of the Old Town Hall.

Some other remarkable sights around Old Town are the Old New Synagogue, the High Synagogue, the Jewish Town Hall, the Old Jewish Cemetery and the Maisel Synagogue. It is approximately a 15-minutes’ stroll from here to Lesser Town, the Prague Castle and the St. Vitus Cathedral by passing through the Charles Bridge.

Wenceslas Square is five minutes walking distance from the Old Town Square, boasting plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. The National Museum and the Prague State Opera are situated on this boulevard as well.

The closest public transportation link is Namesti Republiky tube station.
