Position: This hotel is located in the heart of Venice, just a stroll from St. Mark's Square and Rialto Bridge, but has a calm, secluded position despite the large number of tourists. With just a few minutes walk you can reach the main landings to avail of frequent public transport which takes you all over the city, as well as to the other islands of the lagoon (Torcello, Burano, Murano, Chioggia, Lido, etc.). Rooms: All the rooms are fitted and equipped with a minibar, air conditioning, telephone with a direct line and a safety deposit box. The private bathrooms, with a bath or shower, are supplied with hairdryers. The rooms of Locanda Formosa are now prepared to welcome all tastes: the classic rooms accurately recreate the old sophistication and style of 1700 Venice. Furniture and upholstery, with esteemed workmanship and fine materials, create highly elegant rooms with warm and striking tones. The new rooms, inaugurated recently, March 2009, respecting the Venetian modern style, are bright, lightful, with parquet pavements, Venetian typical “marmorino”, wooden beam ceilings, and a marvellous view on the canals around the palace. The colours and ambient of these rooms respects the warm fullness and cosiness typical of our hotel. Being situated on the palace’s second floor, (unfortunately, we do not have an elevator), these room are offering a breathless amazing view over the canals. Restaurant: The buffet breakfast is served in two separate breakfast halls, intimate rooms, the first overlooking the canal crossing next to the hotel, the second on the second floor facing a small terrace.
