The Castleton hotel is a small budget hotel in Paddington. Originally built in the 19th century as a private residence it was then turned into a bank before becomming the Castleton Hotel. Today, one original money vault and various security grills still remain in the basement.

From the Castleton hotel you can walk through Hyde Park and then onto the famous South Kensington Museums.

LOCATION

The Castleton Hotel is less than a 5 minute walk from historic Paddington Station and where you can catch the Heathrow Express.

Paddington Station was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel and first opened in 1854. The site of Paddington Station is a historic one in that it was, before 1854 the London station for the Great Western Railway. Many of the original features of Paddington Station can still be seen today although over the years Paddington station has been extensively extended.

In the other direction you will find Lancaster Gate Underground Station.
