"The best place yet!!!"
What a fantastic Hotel. Great rooms, great price, only £44 for a twin room that was more 5 star than 4 star! Location is brilliant as it was only 5 mins walk from Gran Via. Underground Parking within 100 yards. Staff really helpful, no matter what you are looking for in Madrid, they will help you find it. 2 showers in the bathroom so you can both get ready at the same time. One of the best hotels we have stayed at in Spain and we go there 3 to 4 times a year. Will def go back.

"Great Location, Good Value"
Brand new hotel in a great location a block from the always lively Santa Ana square, full of restaurants and outdoor cafes. Also near the Prado, Sol, and Plaza Mayor, walking distance to all major Madrid tourist sites. Good sized, well-appointed rooms mix decorative crown moulding, hardwood floors, and marble baths with modern touches like flat screen TVs and modern lighting and plumbing and modern, neutral palette. Comfortable beds and very quiet. Stayed here twice a week apart and exterior room was more pleasant than interior (which was quite dark). Neither of our rooms had the frescoes advertised on the website, but both did have high tray ceilings. Helpful staff and swift check in/check out. Bar/restaurant not anywhere you'd want to "hang out," but no need due to location. Paid 99E for weekend nights, a bargain for a hotel in a major city with this level of room and location.

"Whopping Value!"
As regulars to Madrid we know what is on offer reasonably well, and Las Cortes offered everything we want in a hotel. It was also EXTEMELY good value.
It must have been recently renovated or refreshed because everything was in pristene condition. Cleanliness could not be faulted and the room was also VERY quiet (quite a rarity in Madrid hotels). Best of all is the location. Just off Plaza St Anna it is the ideal location with a short walk to any of the main attractions and in the centre of Tapas Bar grazing area and nightlife.
Negatives? Only one that comes to mind was the lack of obvious internet availabilty (it may have been available, but as we were locked away on holiday we didn't ask), which is quite unusual these days.
