The Catalonia Princesa is located next to the Arc de Triomf only a few minutes walk from the the famous Las Ramblas where you will find many shops, restaurants and bars.
Head for a stroll through the Gothic Quarter and visit the famous Barcelona Cathedral.
For those wanting to head to the beach then The Catalonia Princesa is a 30 minute walk from Barcelona Beach or a 5 minute taxi drive. Here you can soak up some summer sun or sit back and enjoy a cocktail in one of the many beach side bars.

"deserves all its 3 stars"
this 3 star hotel is nice and clean with friendly staff. deserves all three stars. we stayed here on the newyears night of 2006. it's 5 min away from bario gotico located in arc de triupho walking distance from la rambla. the street is lovely has the real barcelona feeling markets, shops old women shopping not touristy which we loved.

"Its true!"
Partly choosing this hotel based on reviews from Tripadvisor, I can only agree:
The hotel has a great location. A bit away from the Rambla (5-10 min. on foot). In a charming area with many shops and restaurants. Only a few hundred meters from Metro at Arc de Triomf.
Staff is very friendly and all understand English (most of them speak it to).
Rooms are quite nice for a 3-star hotel and they are clean.
Breakfast buffet is amazing.
Next time I visit Barcelona I will stay at this hotel again!

"Great hotel, quiet, near metro station"
Very nice hotel. excelent room, more than big enough for the 3 of us( 2 adults, 1 child of 7 yaers old). Bathroom has all the luxury you need. Breakfast is great and there is a lot of choice. We had dinner 1 evening, that was very tastefull and more than enough.
The hotel is located in a small street, we never felt unsafe. There is a very nice restaurant in this street for Paella (Hugo) and a small tapas bar for the locals, so the real spanish atmosphere !
The hotel is very close to the metro station. The zoo is in walking distance from the hotel.
The hotel staff is very helpfull, they even called the Barça stadion to ask about the public training from FC Barcelona.
We enjoyed Barcelona and this hotel !!!
