"Great hotel just out of central Barcelona" We got a taxi to Catalonia Rubens so the steep up hill to get there wasn't a problem, however, if you're walking there it is about a 15 minute walk up from the train station. The room was clean and quite spacious, soap, shampoo, tissues and shower caps were provided. There was also a TV and air conditioner. The room looked out at a mountain with a church on top which was beautiful at night especially. The hotel is not in the centre of the town but in a pleasant, quieter area with shops nearby. It takes about 15 minutes once on the train to get to Barcelona central. The reception staff were helpful with tourist information and maps and spoke English. I can definitely recommend the hotel.

"YAY for the Catalonia Rubens" Great accommodation! Air con is a bonus!! The breakfast was amazing!! The bed was very comfortable! The bathroom was nice (bath included). Very clean!! The only criticism would be it's slightly too far away from town - you need to catch a taxi or the underground rail service.
