"FairyTale"
Staying at the Hotel Cavalieri was like a fairytale. Our limo driver told us that the Hotel Cavalieri is the number one hotel in Rome. Set in beautiful, lush surroundings our room overlooked the entire city of Rome. As you looked over our balcony, the pool was to the left and directly below were huge stone lions scattered throughout the garden. The day we arrived, there was a bottle of champagne and a spectacular setting of miniature fruit tarts, grapes, etc., waiting for us as we entered our room. The weather in June was perfect! The hotel staff was extremely helpful and courteous, accommodating our every request. We regret not being able to book dining at their fabulous rooftop restaurant...one of a handful of michelin-rated restaurants in the world. We were told they book 3 - 6 months in advance. We did dine at the pool level restaurant and found it to be superb and romantic. High tea at 4p.m. every day was a treat. It was our first time to Rome and we got married in a little village just outside of Rome, called Sacrofano. We were the first American couple married in the village. The mayor married us. It took us 6 months to complete all the required paperwork in the United States and then three days of paperwork and appointments when we got to Rome...it was worth the time and effort. I felt like Cinderella the morning of our wedding as I floated through the grand hotel with it's thick carpet and wide staircases in my wedding dress. The subsequent 2-week cruise of the Med on Oceania Cruiselines was the icing on the cake! You will enjoy every moment. The Italians' zest for life was evident the day of our wedding...everywhere we went for photos, the Italians would stop and shout and clap...men, women, and children...waving and clapping...marriage is a huge event for them. It was truly a fairytale. There is no question where we will stay on our next trip to Rome...The Cavalieri!

"AMAZING - Absolutely adored this resort with great views and spa!"
I stayed one night at the Cavalieri Hilton and thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. I wished I had booked this hotel for my entire visit. When I was initially booking, I was thrown off by its location description – it’s on top of a hill away from the busy city center. But with that you get this terrific view of the city and resort feel. Not to mention they have shuttles that take you to the city every hour. The shuttle is new and clean and takes no more than 15 minutes to get you into the city. Also, it’s a cheap taxi ride to the Vatican. They have a couple pools – one indoors. The pool area is manned by two pool attendants that service your every needs (plush pillows beds, towels, umbrellas, etc) and wait staff to provide you with refreshments. Also, the turkish bath in the spa is wonderful after a long day of sightseeing. Simply the best hotel and spa in Rome.

"Great hotel - wonderful staff"
We love Hilton Hotels outside the US - they have beautiful spaces and great service. The Cavalieri is slightly far from Rome's main attractions, but the shuttle bus was easy to take and it was nice to come home to a less touristy location. Unfortunately, because it was not in the city center, it was hard to find places to eat outside the hotel. And the hotel's restaurants were certainly not cheap. Overall, a beautiful hotel, away from tourist hayhem, but certainly not for anyone who is budget conscious.

"Fantastic"
Excellent We stayed for three nights – a pleasant surprise at check-in when we were upgraded to a city view room. The room was very nice with nothing to fault. The house keeping team were great with the room being cleaned twice a day. The food was amazing. Breakfast was amazing – the spread was just fantastic and the quality was second to none. We had dinner one night at the main restaurant – the food was great quality and very generous quantities. The service was very attentive. The best was dinner at the La Pergola restaurant on the ninth floor. From the moment we entered the restaurant we were looked after and treated with great attention and care. The food was the best we have had. All the staff were great and ready to give you suggestions and answer any questions we had. A meal at this restaurant is a must – though it will set you back minimum $400. Getting to and from the hotel is no problem. The shuttle bus is great. If you miss the bus then you can get a tube and metro ticket for Euro 1. Take the metro (Line A) to Lepanto, from where you may take the bus nr.913 to P.le Medaglie d’Oro. There are six stops at P.le Medaglie d’Oro – get off at the last one. As you get of the bus walk left and take the first right up the hill and you at the hotel. Take the same bus to go the Vatican Museums – get off at the first Metro stop (sorry I forgot the name) and from there you can walk it to St Peters and the museum. We found this to be quicker than taking the shuttle and then taking a metro to the Vatican. One last thing – take an iron with you to this hotel. We were surprised when told that they do not give out irons to guests for “security” reasons. But they will happily press your clothes for you at a cost.

"Incredible place!"
My husband and I stayed in the Hilton on our honeymoon. My father, a diamond Hilton Honor's member, gave us his points for the room. We were amazed, given their price per night rooms, that we had enough points for 3 nights. This is the best hotel we've ever stayed in, or probably will ever stay in! It was amazing. Our room overlooked Rome- it must be the best view anywhere in the city! The service upon check-in was stellar; she was incredibly formal and polite and walked us up to our room. The only service in the hotel we used (or could afford) was the free shuttlebus. It brings you to Piazza Barberini, which is a great starting point to hop on the Metro or walk to many famous sites. The only problem with the shuttle is that the last one runs at 8 p.m., which cancels out an opportunity to have a nice Roman dinner without the extra cost of cabfare. Granted, the Hilton reportedly has the best restaurant in town. Our only other complaint, which just may be something we're unaccustomed to, is the exorbitant charge for everything: internet connection, pool use, phone calls, and minibar (9 euro for a mini can of pringles!). Of course, this probably won't matter to the vast majority of guests who can afford to stay there. All in all, this hotel is incredibly luxurious (although it does not look it from the outside) and a definite treat for those who can afford it.

"Everyone should be allowed to stay here at least once!"
Stayed using Hilton Honours points for two nights. Would not have been able to afford it otherwise, believe me this hotel is not cheap, but absolutely worth every penny. This hotel is THE best. From the moment we were picked up at airport by taxi organised through hotel to the moment we left we had a wonderful time. The staff are attentive and polite, they can't do enough for you. The hotel is in a fantastic location, stay in a city view room if you can, the view is incredible whatever time of day or night. Rooms clean and spacious, bathrooms quite grand. Did not use pool, did not have time but it looked very nice, had lunch on terrace, very expensive but worth it, the best pasta dish I've ever had. Only down side to hotel is that it is out of Rome, so you do have to get taxis or shuttle bus, this is not a problem though and to be honest the quality of the hotel far outweighs this. Also it is the very fact of the hotel's location that makes it so unique. If you get the opportunity and can afford it, go there!

"Honeymoon at the Hilton Cavalieri"
After spending eight rainy days in Rome's historic center, we were reinvigorated at this very special hotel. We stayed on the Executive Level where we had a stupendous view of Rome, delectable food and drink from morning til night, and use of their elegant spa, including turkish bath and inddor pool. We think it was well worth the extra expense staying on the Executive Level because hotel charges for food, beverages, and the spa are quite steep. We also had dinner at La Pergola, certainly one of the highest-rated restaurants in Italy. The hotel grounds are beautiful and include two clay tennis courts. Although the hotel is located away from downtown, there is a shuttle service or you can take a taxi for $10 to the Vatican or most any popular tourist destination in town. Besides, being away from downtown has its advantages, including the view and quiet. We've stayed at nice hotels before, but this was perhaps the nicest.
