3-15 Wilberforce Road N4 2SR London September 2008 My room was on the third floor, the elevator was broken and there was not one to help with luggage/ my family and I had to change rooms because the first room bathroom was filthy /they the Manager agreed that the bathroom was dirty and still no help with our luggage to the other floor/ No phone in the room and the receptionist refused to make a simple call for a taxi /had to use a pay phone in the Hotel next door/ The Hotel promised wake up door knock but the receptionist never did and pretended to have no idea/ very poor receptionist service /the location was good but the service was not/ I definitely would not stay there again but I would try another in that area September 2008 2.0

Totally ok. In my opinion this hotel was fairly good. Some things were better than others! The hotel is located in an old building and we were welcomed by a rather dull man, as Kanniina mentions. But there were other people in the staff that were happier and more talkative - Theo! Our room (a triple room) were spacious and bright, it was good. But the bathroom wasn't too good. The shower nozzle were a bit calcimined and the handle for warm water were loose. It looked like they'd started to renovate the shower with new tiling but the new tiling stopped a bit above eye-level so you could see the old tile behind the new. Oh, and in the room were a "bureau" and when we opened it it was totally broken inside. But there were a chest of drawer somewhere else that were in better shape so we used that one. From the hotel it was easy to get to other places - the Underground and Train station were close to the hotel, also the Bus station. The area of this hotel is rather scruffy and we had a hard time finding somewhere we dared to eat. But there were also small shops and grocery stores nearby. We couldn't find any restaurant or bar at the hotel, that was a disappointment. We found a great pub nearby though, called The Twelve Pins. The breakfast at the hotel was good, you had pretty much to choose from and there were staff to fill up the empty things directly. Close to the hotel is Finsbury Park, in which we took some walks in the afternoons. It's a lovely park with a great view over Central London and there's also a little lake in the park with birds. Altogether I think this hotel was good. You get what you pay for, and this hotel was pretty cheap so.. yeah. Totally ok. We'll come back. 3.2
