"location,location,location"
We spent three nights, went on holiday for 16 days and then went back for 1 night before flying home.
The apartment (1 bedroom) was enourmous, with a large bedroom, seperate dressing room, and large lounge. The bathroom was larger than some hotel rooms, we even had a kitchen and dining area. The fixtures and fittings were good and the apartment was kept spotless. The location, 5 mins to the sky train and about 8 minutes stroll to the river and ferry was fantastic. We used the river boats all the time to go to the attractions, such fun and no hassle. We even went to the end of the line and back for less than £1 for two. It made a lovely evening cruise before dinner.
Being so close to the sky train was a bonus, all the main shopping centres were just a ride away. The area around the hotel is fascinating and one feels that you can get close to the ordinary Bangkok resident. It was quite hot and steamy when we were there but in a cooler period a 15-20 minute walk will take you into Chinatown.
The supermarket below the hotel had a small food court which had good food and the room service food was good and reasonable. You could buy soft drinks and beer at the supermarket then whisk them up to your apartment and into the fridge. I know that we saved so much on drinks, meals and transportation that it made up for the somewhat higher price of the luxury room . We will stay there again when next in Bangkok

"Very nice!"
We loved this place! The room was huge! We had an awesome view of Bangkok from the 22nd floor. This was a studio apartment. Had a full kitchen, huge bathroom, washer/dryer and everything we needed. There was a full staff of security men/doormen. Someone was always there to greet you, get a taxi for you, and just in general make you feel happy to be there.
The location is fantastic. Right near much more expensive places like the Shangra La. Robinsons Department store is right next door and you don't even have to go outside to get there our to a big grocery. The skytrain is just a minutes walk. Breakfast was fantastic! We will definetly stay there again.

"Great Place"
The hotel is ideally situated a few steps away from Saphan Taksin BTS station and 100m from the Saphan Taksin riverboat pier. The building also contains a Robinson's department store.
We took a one-bedroom apt, with riverview. The kitchen was smallish but adequate, the living room huge, as was the bedroom and walk-in closet... The fixtures are mostly wood and showing their age, but only a little. Nice TV, DVD system. Breakfast was not bad, the gym is adequate, the pool is small but beautiful (visit at night).
What stood out is the service - I am well-travelled, but have never seen anything like it. We asked for an extra towel and it was there within minutes. I had a problem with the internet connection at 2am and within 5 minutes a technician was there ! We also asked for the hotel to arrange a babysitter which was good (200B an hour).

"5-star luxury at 3-star prices"
On our recent trip to Thailand, our family of 5 (aged 8 to 78) spent 4 nights at Centre Point Silom, BKK. www.centrepoint.com/Locations/Silom_a.aspx
We could not have chosen a better place. Our apartment was palacious , (183 mª) with river views, located only a few minutes walk from both the Skytrain and the River Express boats, close to the prestigious Shangri-La and Oriental and directly connected to Robinson department store with a food department, food stalls and some restaurants. The staff at CPS was extremely courteous, helpful and friendly and even the hotel restaurant’s room service was, unexpectedly, very tasty and extremely good value for money.
I would certainly recommend staying at a serviced apartment hotel of such quality and very reasonable price especially for families as it gives you extra flexibility and space while not compromising on luxury and facilities such as the huge pool, etc. If we ever have the opportunity to visit Bangkok again, I would not want to stay anywhere else. Thanks to everybody at CPS.
Thanks also to Philippa from www.lostinthailand.com for her patience and efficiency on making all our bookings for us.
Katrin from Bath, UK.

"better than a hotel for families"
We stayed at Centre Point Silom this August in a 2 bedroom apt. Each of the bedrooms was larger than a hotel room, and each had a separate large dressing room. There were 3 bathrooms, 2 of which had separate tubs and showers. Between the bedrooms was a livingroom with a kitchen. The apartment was nicely furnished with stained wood built ins. Each room had its own tv with numerous cable channels. There was also a washer/dryer, altho it took a while to figure out how to get the clothes dry. It was perfect for a family or two couples traveling together.
The breakfast had variety and good coffee. The SkyTrain and central pier were less than 2 blocks away. There was a very good hot pot restaurant in the basement of Robinson's Dept Store next to the hotel, as well as a food court with other restaurants.
