Chalet Swiss Hotel is centrally located in Interlaken. Built in traditional Swiss Chalet style it is only 8 - 10 minutes away from the railway station and the boat landing pier. The hotel is rustic and cozy and enjoys a magnificient view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountain range.
The exterior of the hotel's main building is traditional and as the name suggests it is of chalet style. The hotel also has an annexe in which most of the rooms are housed. This building is behind the main building and is modern in style. Downstairs there is a childrens' play room.
The restaurant is well known for its delicious "cheese fondue" and "fondue bourguignoone". |

This hotel was well situated. About a 10 minute walk from Interlarken West station.The staff were the best we have encounted in all of our travels world wide. Room was very comfortable with the view from our room wonderful. |

"A lovely traditional Swiss chalet hotel"
The Chalet Swiss Hotel is situated about 800 metres from the centre of Interlaken west and the train station. A number of the rooms have glorious views of the Alps (for no extra charge) and the one we stayed in looked straight out over the snow covered peaks - it was magical. Our first impressions were extremely good with a very friendly welcome and easy check-in. This hotel was clean and all the staff we dealt with were extremely friendly and helpful. The chalet is fairly old and as a result the rooms are quite small, though still room for a small table as well as the bed (our double bed was two singles pushed together). There is no kettle in the room. The floor has a slight slope to it which actually caused a little light-headedness when we first checked-in, but that passed within a few hours. Bathroom was quite cramped, but clean and serviceable. We had two English TV stations- CNN and Prime. The in-house restaurant is excellent value for money at 26 Swiss francs for a four-course meal - soup, salad, choice of mains (I had a fondue and my husband chicken) and desserts with coffee, and the menu changed each night. There is also a lovely hotel bar and sitting room to enjoy a chat with staff and travellers alike (you are able to pick up hot drinks and take them to your room), internet acess (though we found cheaper a few minutes walk away in a pub) and a complimentary spa and sauna, though our days were so full we didn't get time to enjoy them. Overall, this hotel had a very warm and inviting atmosphere and was very good value for money at the discounted rate we got it for (81 euro per night).
