Great Hotel - Excellent Value
I was extremely impressed with this hotel. The staff clearly has five star professionalism. The hotel was on the inexpensive side for its star level and reflects a tremendous value. The breakfast buffet is very complete for Thai, Western and Japanese guests. It is not in a central location, but the subway system is about a three minute walk. I was very impressed with the subway system and it links to Skytrain and the rest of Bangkok. So location is not a problem. Sometimes it

"I loved the room, service is excellent"
The room is really nice, loved it-no complain.Staff are really nice & helpful smiling most of the time. Buffet breakfast is great with lots of choices. Location is a bit far from downtown, quiet surrounding otherwise easily accessible since mrt station Ratchadaphisek is nearby-10min walk. One can get off at Sukhumvit station and connect to skytrain at Asoke. Chatuchak weekend market is only 2 stops on the mrt going in the Bang sue direction. Thailand cultural centre is also nearby.Airport is relatively near-costs Bhat 170 on metered taxi. Overall I would rate this hotel as above average. Would I stay at this hotel again? Yes for the service. No, because I'd like to experience staying right in the city centre near the sky train next time. I like to get to my hotel right away after the whole day out shopping and my feet refuse to carry me on any further.

"Great stay at Chaophya"
We stayed for two nights (7th – 8th Sept 06) and really enjoyed it before our trip to Chiang Mai. We were warmly welcomed by all the staff that couldn't do enough for us. The entrance to the Hotel is a large and airy open space with large Thai style light designs suspended from the ceiling. Our luggage was delivered to our room and we were shown how to use the remote control for every lighting & TV facility. The room was clean and comfortable in a contempory Thai style. Large bed with a head board spanning up to the ceiling. The windows were floor to ceiling height with a great view of the Bangkok city. The chairs were upholstered in a uniform soft green that went with the carpet and bedding. The air-conditioned system was very quiet so no disturbed nights sleep. There was a cabinet enclosing a T.V. and fridge. A complementary bathrobe and slippers were provided. A digital safe to secure any items and a very clean bathroom with wall to floor light grey marble tiled interior. A very large bath and a separate shower room. The breakfast is European or traditional Thai, it's your choice. The dinning area is comfortable, you are served tea or coffee and the breakfast area is self service with helpful staff. In the evening you can wine and dine from a choice of about 3 restaurants located in the hotel. We chose to eat Chinese one evening, again with excellent staff serving. If you fancy a night out there is a bar across the car park or others near by. I can truly say we had a wonderful experience during our stay and hope you will too.

"Just Perfect"
This hotel is has everything I like in a hotel when I travel internationally - it is CLEAN, convenient and inexpensive. It is not in the very center of Bangkok, but it is very close to the subway (I think three small city blocks or less??). It takes maybe 15-20 min on the subway to get to the downtown attractions. My favorite was the nice, clean pool that is wonderful during the hot Bangkok afternoons/evenings. The people who work there speak English well and are very helpful. I don't really care about room size, but, the rooms were very big and had a refrigerator. If I go back to Bangkok, I would not stay anywhere else.
