The Charleston Cartagena, is a magnificently restored 17th century convent and perfectly situated in the old walled city of Cartagena .

The Hotel Charleston opened as a hotel in the late 1990s in the seventh-century Santa Teresa Carmelite convent in Cartagena's historic walled district. Guests enter the six-floor salmon and gold-colored hotel into a colonial-style lobby with a center courtyard surrounded by an arched pillared hallway with a reception alcove and conversation areas.
