"top address in Holland"
this a hotel where you can relax totally, without worrying about anything else. it has got a nice small pool. in the same building there is a "kneipp" health center. excellent services. normally the standard of eating in holland is not that high. but in the castle restauran you can really discover new combinations. quit expensive but worth it. as far as tourists walking around: didn't notice. ... perhaps this was because i had the best suite of the hotel :-) the church and the garden of the chateau make it really worth!

"Lovely hotel sparse rooms"
This was a beautifully renovated chateau. The staff service was excellent and the grounds were magnificent. We had a senior suite which was 2 levels, consisting of 2 beds/baths and full kitchen. The king beds were really twin mattresses spliced together and yet there was a gap in the middle anyway. The bathrooms were modern and well equipped ,but were rather utilitarian and low end as far as the tile/vanities/mirrors. However, they were sparkling clean and perfectably acceptable. The furnishings were a great disappointment. Very dated Louis XVI style, think 40s era veneer and were not in the best shape. Our 3 tiny tvs were all in cabinets. The downstairs cabinet had a door that fell off anytime you opened it. While everything was very clean, I guess we expected that a bit more opulence and thought would have gone into furnishing this place. Very non professional decorating job. The windows were huge and opened fully to view the grounds which made up for the lack of tasteful decor. Overall we would probably stay again, but I think at this price point ,that really most people would expect so much more from the rooms. The church on the grounds is not to be missed by the way.

"Luxury and style"
This is a great hotel to just relax. We stayed two nights in a senior suite (one level), which is perfect for two adults and two children (3 and 5). Surroundings are beautiful, as is the hotel itself. We ate in the Bistrot one night and in the Restaurant the night after. Both great. One minor comment: we ordered room-service, one small lasagna for our children to share, two glasses of milk and two icecream, and payed about 35,- for that, which is really overpriced (bearing in mind that the lasagna only cost 15 euros). And we had to call twice for the personnel to change the couch into a bed for the children: if the children have to go to bed at 7/7.30 and we specifically request for the couch/bed change at or before 7 o'clock, you just can't show up at 7.45 (both nights). But apart from that, we loved the place and forgot about it quickly.
