"Good for stay and fly"
We were due to fly out of leeds/bradford airport very early in the morning and needed to stay somewhere close to the airport. Both the Britannia and Chevin Country Park do stay and fly deals with free transport to the airport. The Britannia is cheaper but was not available for the night we needed so we had to use the Chevin Country Park. It was fine and we would not hesitate to use it again. For £85 we got overnight accomodation, parking at the hotel and transport too and from the airport which is 5 mins. drive away. I had not expected to get anything in the morning but the hotel gave us coffee and toast at 5am which was an added bonus. The room was small with little space around the bed but was fine for one night. I suspect that some of the rooms are bigger but presumably if you are staying on the stay and fly deal you will get a smaller room. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and the heating worked well The pool complex allows a quck dip, the pool was clean and the water warm. There were only 2 other people in the pool when I went so there was no problem with finding space to swim about We did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the meals.

"Loved it- upgraded to the Dale Suite with Spa"
Stayed here for our wedding anniversary in June, not what we expected at all. The main log building is lovely, in there is the reception, restaurant, and lots of little rooms you can sit and have a quiet drink from the bar, there is also some hotel rooms attached to this. It also has several log cabins scattered around the grounds, a little bit like centre parcs, at first we were very shocked, the roofs on these are covered with grass and look very Eco friendly. We booked the Dale Suite and I think they have lots of different suites, you have your own little parking area outside your cabin, but they are attached, ours was attached to 2 others and you can hear all bathroom movements. The room was very quaint, it had a four poster bed which was very high, I needed to run and jump to get on it, think I also would break something if I fell out of it, it had a CD player, TV, DVD player, the carpet could do with replacing but the room was very clean and had every thing we needed. Outside we had a patio area with bench, and a little shed that had a Jacuzzi in. We paid for half board, and ate in the restaurant. We had a table near the window overlooking the lake and the food was beautiful, we had a choice of 4 starters, mains, and desserts. The buffet breakfast was also very good, lots of choice and very warm, the service also was excellent, arrived at your table with tea/coffee and toast. The hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful. Did not use the leisure facilities. Would defiantly go back. We loved it.
